I've been here for 45 minutes waiting to see someone, because their fraud prevention team messed up my new online account and blocked it by accident. I'm bored, the staff are vapid and disinterested. To think I almost tried banking with these clowns.

I went to the bank to deposit money into my account via the ATM machine. There was an error and the machine gave me back my card but not my money. I had a quick check on my online banking and confirmed that no money had been deposited to the account. I spoke to a lady at the branch who reassured me that any surplus money would be deposited to my account by 1pm the next day. It has been a whole day and I have heard nothing back and no call to inform me what is going on. There?s been a total lack of communication and I am upset that this has not been prioritised.

Regret ever opening an account here, staff roll their eyes at you and you won't get through to anyone on the phone.

Unbelievably poor and rude customer service! I have banked with them for over 15 years, went into the Southampton branch today only to be spoken down to, shouted on and pushed by a supposed supervisor at the Above Bar branch. I went in with identification and a simple request to change information on my account but a rude woman interrupted my conversation with a staff member, refusing my request, arguing with me about it, raising her voice then barging past me when I refused to speak to her about it any further. She then proceeded to go to the back and audibly complain about me to a colleague while I was standing there. Extremely unprofessional behaviour and unnecessary aggression, I would never expect this behaviour from any staff there. I am closing my account and would strongly recommend anyone not to bank with them. They do not value their customers and worse still, would not pick the phone several times when I tried to submit a complaint.

We want to share with you what an awful experience we had going into the Sandtander bank in Southampton. There were customers everywhere, the bank staff didn't seem to have any idea what they were doing. There are only two teller windows, surely when the bank is this busy there should be a third teller window available!! To reduce the queues. Staff seemed to be going for breaks. Breaks?? The bank had only been open an hour! Appalling customer service!

Staff have always been extremely helpful when I've gone to them with any banking-related issues. The only reason I'm not rating this as 5 stars is due to the limited opening hours - since the Santander branches in Shirley and on Highfield campus closed down, this is the only one in the city and the hours are pretty awful if you have a busy day (no fault of the employees, mind you!).

Great place to do all your banking needs.My only criticism is that now you have closed down all of the local branches, why doesn't the central branch stay open after 3pm???Not everyone has the Internet or can spend time on the phone.I would have thought that opening until 6pm Monday-Friday and 5pm on Saturday would better suit your customers, myself included.It would also benefit those who work from 9-5pm.It's about the customer and the service we want, especially when there are numerous staff members who seem to stand around waiting for someone who doesn't want the cashiers.Only having 2 cashiers is inadequate for a city centre branch.

Southampton branch manager not has enough knowledgeNot recommend Santandar bank at all, I have both account , personal & business account.The Maneger branch in southampton ( Adam ) unprofessional, not enough knowledge about his duty as a manager branch , shame on Santandar, Adam does not fit for his job , I was asking in branch to verify my business statement , he does not do it for me , day before I been in southampton branch , same branch , the lady did 5 month statements without any difficulty, but Mr Adam does not have enough knowledge,I was asking him what the reason you do not do it ? If it?s the bank policy I am agree ! He said no , so he created the policy on his own pocket . He is not fit at all as a branch manager, shame on Santandar

Tried to contact regarding new card. Eventually got through but I was told unable to hear me even after 20 MINS. Why cant there be a proper branch and not a generic number to avoid waiting.
