Unfortunately we didn?t make it to the appointment here as the service prior to that was poor so we went to Vision Express instead where they were friendly, courteous and professional. Partner booked an appointment at Specsavers over a month beforehand and stated at the time she MIGHT be 5 mins late as coming straight from school run and the lady who took the booking said that would be fine..no issues at all at that point. Then a different lady called the day before the appointment 6 weeks later and when my partner said the same but was still attending basically said this was unacceptable and either turn up on time or don?t come. Essentially a u-turn on previous and partner took that on the chin and said she?d try to make it but the attitude, tone, rudeness and lack of customer service or common decency put her off coming. The stroppy voicemail that came later too was on a par with that conversation. Shame as initially all fine. Suspect there are some employees here that enjoy working in a service industry and a minority that don?t and shouldn?t be that are letting the rest down. Recommend avoiding and trying Vision Express or running the gauntlet with these guys and hope you get lucky with the staff member that you deal with. No doubt we?ll get a reply saying we?re busy, we can?t accommodate late arrivals etc etc and that?s not a problem, but say that from day 1 and say it with some consideration and perhaps suggest an alternative or offer a solution, make an effort. It?s just very basic customer service. Goes a long way. That?s the very least a customer who has opted to use you should be entitled to.

What's the point in advertising a phone number if you're not ever going to answer the phone?! Having problems booking appointment online and called 4 times today and no answer. No even had an appointment yet and service seems poor.

My new glasses are brilliant - I forget I have them on! I have only ever been to Specsavers Shirley. The website with the virtual try on and the staff are excellent.

says it closes at 17:30 and yet they shut early. needed emergency contacts, absolutely useless! don't say you close at a certain time if it's not true.

So the majority of the staff are nice....one or 2 make you feel an inconvenience.I've had my lenses changed however I can't see anything better than my last lenses infactvthey are worse and I find myself squinting more. I have been in to question but made to feel that it's in my head and the adjustment made was how it should be for varifocals.I should have gone back to boots. I felt more comfortable and the last lenses for the period were cracking.I've spent a few hundred just for lenses that don't work and myeyesight is worse.
