When I went into the Totton store for an eye test, I could not believe the customer service that I received. Every member of staff smiled as I walked in and said hello.I was taken away by a lady called Sam who took my pre-eye test scans and she explained everything she was going to do and my nerves was eased by this lovely lady.I then went in for my eye test where another lovely option (lady - sorry can not remeber her name) was great and again explained every step of the way.The store is quite small, but I looked at the glasses and there were loads to choose from, and you could ask their opionions knowing you are going to get a honest opinion.I will be recommending Totton Specsavers to all family and friends.Thanks to all in Totton store x

I am a full time glasses wearer and broke my glasses so made an appointment to go and get a new pair, due to the strength of my prescription i always pay to have the lenses thinned down. After a two week wait i went to collect my specs . When they presented to me it was noticeable that the lenses had not been thinned at all, but the girl in the shop insisted it had been done.When i got home my friends and family noticed the difference straight away, so i called the store to raise the issue again. Another young lady also insisted it had been done so i took the glasses to an independent opticians and another branch of specsavers who both confirmed that there was no way they had been thinned. I called again and was told that i could go back in to have them checked if i wanted.When i arrived the third staff member took one look and said "that's just ridiculous" and confirmed that the process had not been carried out ( after two other staff members already trying to convince it had been done).At this point i was left only with my prescription sunglasses while the new pair was sent back to get the correct lenses put in, i was told that they would be marked as urgent and they would be back in a week at which point someone would give me a call.A week and a half later i had still heard nothing so called them. I was told that the work had not been started yet but they could get them done the following day and they would be back in two days and that someone would call me when in.So now we are two and a half weeks after the glasses were sent back and still no call?I have still not even had a receipt for the purchase and the customer service is non existent , you are rushed through and processed like cattle at a market and they couldn't care less about you as a customer as long as they have your money.Having been a glasses wearer since i was about 18 months old i have had 47 years of visiting opticians and this is by far the worst place i have ever been. From the terrible service to trying to lie about the glasses that were produced.Do yourself a favour and save yourself a lot of stress and time and find somewhere professional to get your specs . This place genuinely couldn't care any less if they tried !!..... Edit on post , so 6 weeks after my eye test and 3 attempts later and the technology that has been used on my glasses to thin them for the last 37 years apparently no longer works as this place can not thin lenses? If I had been informed of this from the beginning instead of all the lies I would have gone somewhere else from the start!!They offered a full refund on the specs when pushed but then would not even lend me one of the three pairs produced to see me through until a reputable company had produced what I need . This now leaves me still wearing sunglasses as my only option to see which is more than a bit of a challenge with the dark mornings and evenings.I was told that a director would call me this afternoon ( but " they won't be changing their mind "on anything?) We'll see as up until this point communication has been far from a strength for this place.After 47 of my 48years of wearing glasses I can honestly say this is the worst example of customer care I have ever had.Genuinely gobsmacked by the complete lack of either empathy for the situation or ownership for the situation they put me in.PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.If you have another option. TAKE IT and save yourself a world of hassle and disappointment, from a team that have no interest at all in customer care.

The optician was phenomenal, informed, knowledgeable and made me wish I had gone to them years ago. The women in the shop really worked hard to find the right glasses for me. I am delighted with the service

I received my new glasses quickly and with attention from Specsavers I also purchased contact lenses which I also received quickly after having a check up which was thorough. Therefore I am very happy.

I'm still waiting for my glasses. Have tried to phone, and have left a message. But alas, no reply. Very unhappy ? Glasses now received.

Went in to get a minor repair to a pair of glasses bought from Specsavers, but not this one. The (very busy) assistant was very charming, did the repair with no problems, no charge,and off I went. Couldn't ask for more. Great, and rare.

I had my eye test today at Spec Savers, Totton. I recieved great customer service and no waiting about. The lady who greated me was lovely and she carried out initial tests. She then took me to see the optician and this was the same person who saw me a couple of years ago. I was then supported by Chloe to choose a frame and she explained various options to me and helped me to understand my prescription - she was so helpful, professional & kind. Thank you to all colleagues at Specsavers, Totton.(The only thing i would suggest you do is remove the various items that are cluttering direct access to a couple of your emergency fire extinguishers.)

I?d just like to say, what wonderful welcoming experience today. My appointment was at 1.35. I was a little nervous as not been to an opticians for some years. From start to finish the whole team at a Totton we?re fantastic, nothing too much trouble and should hopefully pick up my new specs early December.
