“I have been both a volunteer and assistant manager at this shop, and have made some good friends there. Though no longer the assistant manager I still volunteer there. The shop is a nice friendly place both to work at and shop”

“A fantastic experience at this shop. Glenda was kind, knowledgeable and helped me find my perfect dress. There was a far bigger range available than I thought there would be and I am so pleased to have found my dream dress there. It fit like a glove and I received so many compliments! I can’t recommend this shop highly enough to any future brides. Thank you so much!!”

“Amazing selection of records, CDs and books! The records are graded and priced more than fairly. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and more than happy to provide support. Incredibly friendly place to volunteer, Rob the manager is very knowledgeable, approachable and encourages development of volunteers soft skills and industry relevant skills. I've spent many happy hours browsing and volunteering here over the last 15 years.”

“I always take my unwanted items to my local charity stores. Cancer Research is one of my choices as it has personal resonance with my late father. The store is easy to find and parking is available around the back if you want to drop off your items. It’s always tidy and staff are helpful.”

“Fantastic shop. I was served by Bradley today who was very helpful and pleasant but chatted with some of the other staff/volunteers also (all a credit to the charity and shop.) They were able to help me with a very reasonably priced bed frame and delivery all together at a great price. Regardless of whether they are paid or volunteer staff they were friendly, professional \\u0026 helpful. Thank you.”

“The Echo has reported that this charity shop is to close in August this year due to high rental costs.A real shame that this well worth while charity has to close its doors . I have visited this place several times to donate and make the odd purchase or two. Please if you can pop along and give some support for the few months left of trading.”

“This shop is easy to park outside with a lay by right outside. The opening times are restricted to mon-fri which is a shame and it closes at 4 so I often come past too late”

“Regularly take goods to this shop, staff always welcoming and appreciative of good quality saleable goods, especially toys my grandson has outgrown. Refreshing attitude compared to some of the other charity shops in the area that have a negative attitude to good quality donations. Will always use this shop.”

“Super friendly and helpful staff. They have a fantastic collection of books. It took a lot of self discipline to not browse and buy more but I kept reminding myself that I'd just donated 3 crates full of books...”

“This charity shop has recently undergone a great makeover. Although I'm a great fan of charity shop shopping, this was never my favourite. But it's been redesigned by someone with a real talent for retail layout. It's brighter, has a more sensible layout and has much more space. Volunteer staff are also very friendly and engaging, so I'll be sure to enjoy my shopping here much more in future!”
