Dirty room, loud noise all night, room stank of cigarettes. No remote control in room and was cold. Rubbish gathering at the bottom of the stairs dirty nappies etc. Steer clear!

Probably the worst experience I've ever had. As many have mentioned parking is horrible. The car park is pitch black so you can't see any signs.I brought a pay and display ticket and got on with my trip. Went into the hotel, staff are non existent. I really don't know what they do. Anyway two weeks after my stay I'm hit with two parking fines because you have to register your vehicle at the front desk however pitch black parking lot and useless staff don't tell you this. I spent two weeks having to dispute the fines by contacting customer service. They hire a company to deal with parking but claim they can't cancel the fine from their side. They can they are just lazy. So you will have to fight the corrupt Horizon Parking company (good luck). My room was clean, stayed for two days, requested new towels and a top up of toiletries which was ignored.Overall lazy and unfriendly staff and probably the worst Travelodge I've stayed at.Good location with access to the city centre, however it's very loud at night. Will do the job of being a place to sleep but just watch out for the parking.

If I could describe this hotel with one word, that word would be ?moist?. The condensation from the window was dripping constantly into a puddle on the carpet, the fan in the bathroom may as well not have been there for how ineffective it was. Service was brief but lovely, quick check-in and no-contact check-out. Location was pretty great considering the price, with a Lidl and bus stops within 2min walking distance. Wouldn?t stay here for 4 days again but completely doable for a short trip.

This is a 2 star budget hotel and charges based on this. You get the Travelodge consistency, quality and value for money for what you pay for. For short city budget breaks where a clean and comfortable room with good customer service is what you need then you won't go wrong.

The rooms as well as the bed are confortable with sufficient space. The personnel, especially Alamea, are kind, take care of us with great smile. Good situation, just 10min by foot to the city center.

This was a great hotel to stay at, easily entered through the automatic doors that have a safe night buzzer system in place! The staff were very friendly and accommodating as they explained the process for rare non digital Travelodge key, leading to a well-sized room. Beds are comfortable with points to place items above and charge points; table comes in handy for this too and cleanliness was clear! The bathroom is large and easy to use, although it could have benefitted from a lock.Walkability: quite a walk from city centre

Hotel has recently been refurbished but still lacks facilities of new hotels. Poor signage for parking. Heavy glass doors at entrance make disability access difficult.USB points have been added but lack of 3 pin plugs, particularly near main bed (Room 112). Near very busy/noisy road.

This Travelodge has just gone through an extensive refit. The lift is still absolutely rubbish and slow but the hotel itself has been bought up to date. Seems to be new staff who are loverly especially Alamea on reception and the English cleaning ladies who I didn't get their name but really friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean and fresh. Location isnt great about a 15 minute walk into town and a bit of a rough area but there is parking on site with CCTV. Still quite expensive for it's location and style as well but if you need to stay in Southampton it's ok.

Even if you pay close to £1000 for a room for a week, you can?t put any food or drink on your room number. Honestly, friendly staff. But very strange people.
