Visit with three friends before football. We queued for 20 minutes to get a table because they were clearly understaffed.The poor service continued with both wait times and a member of staff who was actually quite rude. Some food turned up before the drinks and although we were warned about the sporadic delivery of food, my starter and main were delivered together, after one of my fellow diners had received and eaten both of his courses.So not to be overly critical the food was good - the issues were all down to staff shortages I assume.

Never had wagamama before and we traveled from Bristol to spend the day in Southampton, so we decided to go to one and was served by the lovely claudia who was super polite and professional, because it was our first time Claudia gave us the best experience in our first wagamama and the rest of the foh staff was fantastic, thank you very much for the cook book Tom, John and becky

Really nice blonde manager with an accent, I think her name was Nicole, and daisy who served us.Food was delicious and she gave us some extra!The manager heard my friend had a bad throat so she also supplied him with some herbal tea that she said would help - this was such a nice gesture for her to notice and action!Definitely will be coming back to this restaurant because the service was great!

Nothing like the experience I am used to with this chain. They gave us the wrong dishes as the staff were confused about the orders. Quality was poor. They had run out of a side dish order but never told us. This side dish (kimchi) was also present in two main dishes. When I asked them about this they were not forthcoming. When I asked how could you serve a main dish if you were missing a main ingredient they asked if we would like a substitute!!If the kitchen runs out of ingredients then surely you would advice customers that this dish is not available rather than serve something with it missing. This restaurant needs a firm shake up as it has let the brand down. For the money we spent it was a disappointment

Okay food. The Bao Buns were bad. The bun was stale. The service was also bad. Very slow and not attentive.

Food was lovely , and staff is so good except A guy on a white T-shirt with glasses and shorts I think he's a manager or area manager , he's really rude and arrogant towards customers and staff too I could see how rude and grumpy he was towards staff as well. As staff is really good who works there except this person in white T-shirt , He needs to be bit kinder towards his staff and customers because Wagamama is losing out on customers. This kind of people should be put on disciplinary notice or be removed ASAP. I won't be coming again up here in Wagamama in Southampton.

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and all the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Noah who seated us, Harry who was took our order and made an excellent recommendation on sauces and also the man who checked on our meal and made the kids first Wagamamas experience so memorable! We?ll definitely be back next time we?re in Southampton. Thank you!

I may not have ordered the most popular dish at Wagamama --- ramen was rather overcooked, but place is great, would love to give this place another try.

We started late looking for dinner and we decided to try Wagamama. Sam, the host told us that if we were not seated by 1930, we had to look for food elsewhere . Guess what, he tried his best and was able to seat everyone before 1930. Such an endeavor. The food and service were fantastic. But mostly, Sam did an excellent job in accommodating everyone and therefore, no one was left hungry. When we settled our bill, we found out that most of the customers are leaving tomorrow for their cruise.

Noah who was in his second week of job was exceptional - gave excellent food recommendations and was super attentive. The manager too was great, we were there for a couple of hours and as always food was great but the Southampton branch staff was brilliant! Will be visiting againKid-friendliness: Absolutely, we visited for brunch with our 13 months daughter, staff was very attentive and kind.

Went yesterday, 1st July. Arrived and lined up wanting a table. Seeing loads of empty tables. Staff wondering around in a manic way, like if they were short staffed understandable but manage it better. No order whatsoeverWas not happy when saw a waitress clearing and setting a table but then not wipeing it instead just picking up food that was on the table and setting it like it was clean.We got seated after 20 mins, seeing loads of empty tables. We were hungry so was looking forward to the food.Waiter came over could hardly hear him but ordered what we wanted and then left to it. Don't know how long we waited but throughout the wait we saw food and drinks on the side no care or rush to actually give them out.My gyoyzas were colder than normal, sat on the side too long. Katsu curry was good some of the vegetables were abit hard. Didn't complain as waiters didn't show much interest in us even while trying to call them over. Even we had problems paying so trying to ask one waiter to bring a bill over or for us to pay on card we couldn't do so went up to the desk. Got thanked for our patience but still not a nice experience.Portion sizes great though but it wasn't as good as it has been. Hoping this is a one off.
