I have broken my ankle and cannot drive so only had one chance to go to Nationwide on the same day as a hospital appointment by taxi. I had called them before to ask to close my ISA and transfer the money to mybank account and I was told to take two forms of ID, which I did. However, they kept me waiting nearly half an hour before refusing to do the transaction saying I did not have enough information with me, whilst the taxi was waiting for me. The taxi ended up costing £85 for the trip. Now I am stuck 20 miles from the nearest branch unable to access my money and can't afford to go back. I will never use Nationwide again. I would have given only one star but the girl on the door was so nice and helpful that she deserves a couple of stars herself.

Really glad I switched to Nationwide last year, my experience with them has been 100% positive, the Hereford branch has fantastic customer service.

Disgusting customer service, official complaint also will be made. If you're going to have members of staff standing at the door make sure they aren't arrogant and actually have an ounce of customer service skills. I will be taking banking elsewhere.

Great bank, good term and stuff, just annoyed they claim to be open till 5 on Friday when multiple weeks in a row they were closed by 4:30

Not a great experience on my end had been told if I want to bring in more than 5 coin bags at a time that I would ring up before hand to arrange it and it would be fine so I bagged up all the money ready to go made the phone call to be told theres no way they can do it and I will have to go once a day with 5 bags to put it all 600 pound in the bank. Will be closing my account and going elsewhere as soon as possible

A little concerned they open so late, and despite assurances i could cancel an account switch from another bank any time within 28 days this was not so.
