appalling customer service today for my in-laws, they have an older account and want to switch to a newer one that will pay then twice the interest, and were told they can't do it as they don't have an appointment. to cap it all the branch is closing down for refurb so will have to travel further, inimpressed

Needing assistance in opening a new currents account, I was helped by Donna and Carmen. Carmen, went above and beyond in assisting me in every way she could possibly help and I am very grateful to her. She would offer me suggestions that would help ease the process for me to open the account as well as helping me with the online procedure. I'd like to also thank Donna for helping me as much as she could. Overall it was a good experience.

Terrible, never enough staff. One on the kiosk with a huge queue and other staff just coming and going without taking a till. Very rude and disrespectful to loyal customers, treat you like a criminal for trying to pay a cheque in that won't register with the machine. I don't even want to use the bank in town, it's very inconvenient and neither do they, so they should increase their online services. It's ridiculous you cant pay a cheque in over a certain amount online. One star is too generous.

Open late close early on week days. 12.30 on a Saturday close. The opening hours are terrible what happened to being open all day? Online help is not much help people want to go into the bank and talk direct to someone.

wont accept my landlords tenancy agreement cause there "private" and struggling to get setting up because of it shame they dont accept a legally binding document from a private landlord. there acceptance criteria could be soo much better

Excellent service. Overall I am a very happy Santander customer. I especially like getting interest in my current account. I use the phone app for most transactions.
I switched a few years ago from Lloyd's and am glad I did so.

There is no seating for those who have to queue for a while. Health and Safety given as excuse,too easily done these days . We had plenty in the old bank???????

Was extremely disappointed with this mornings customer service. This morning I had to withdraw some emergency cash from my savings account with Santander. I explained straight away that I had left my bank card at my current address in Wales. And explained I did have photographic identification. The woman who I couldn't remember who served me said I couldn't withdraw the money as I didn't have my current account card on me. I had explained to her that previously this same week I had to withdraw some cash from my savings account in the Gloucester branch due to purchasing a new house. She still refused. I then drove all the way to Gloucester just to go into the Santander branch to then withdraw MY cash from my savings account. I explained to the woman there also (unknown name) what had happened in the Hereford Branch. And she was outraged from the confusion and stressful circumstance I had just been dealt with. To then drive again back to Hereford to pay my bill. I'm extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend the Hereford Branch to anyone. They are completely useless and will be putting a further complaint in on this circumstance.
