Me and our lass popped in hoping to get food and I've never had a burger as good. I swapped some of my chips for some of her veg (she thoroughly enjoyed the lamb shank) and it went so well with my stilton sauce side. Spoilt for choice on the menu. Service was faultless. Went in here on the off chance as my husband was recovering from surgery, so didn't want to book anywhere in case he wasn't up to it. The landlady was her usual unwelcoming self. Said she would have to open up the other part of the restaurant for us and we would have a wait. I nearly left then, but it was quite an effort... read full comment
