Friendly village pub with pub classics and choice of Sunday

Ordered breakfast ciabatta with extra crispy bacon, tea and a latte. What arrived was anaemic looking /under cooked sausages, under cooked bacon dripping in grease and over cooked fried egg. How could the chef get everything so wrong? We left the pub barely the eating a thing but £24 lighter in the purse. Avoid at all costs is our recommendation

Accommodated us last minute on Christmas eve, we had a cheeseboard and charcuterie board along with a bowl of crispy roast potatoes and pigs in blankets which we ordered off menu & were kindly allowed :) Bar staff were attentive and dining room was lovely and warm. Kids fish and chips was freshly cooked & a great portion size for the price

Really a nice place to stay! The service was great and everyone was super friendly. The room where we stayed was the Westminster. A nice big room (max 4 persons) and it has everything you need even a hairdryer and an iron. The shower needs a little bit of the time to warm up because the warm water needs to be pumped upstairs. But when it was warm it was nice and steamy hot!? The bedding smelled nice and was clean. The free breakfast was nice with fruits, small croissants, cereal, nice bread to toast, butter and jam. In the fridge: milk (vegan) and fruit juice. At additional costs you can also order a continental breakfast (very nice ?) of the breakfast menu of the pub.In the evening you can eat at the restaurant or the pub. We ate at the pub and you can eat here for a good price and great hospitality!!! We had a cosy seat near the fireplace and the Christmas tree. It's a nice place to come back to.This place is really great when you want to visit Cambridge (about 30 minutes).

Lovely warm welcome from the landlord. We only popped in for a quick drink but decided to stay for dinner. Beautifully freshly made food - lovely veggies and plenty of gravy with a beef packed pie! Fish and chip Friday deal was superb. Very generous proportions and a great price. Will come again - and again!!

A nice out of the way retreat.I walked in to a proper bar with wooden floors and furniture and an open fire. The staff are very friendly and my room was very comfortable and a nice size.Well furnished and decorated with a large sash window looking out on the street.A nice village experience.Rooms: I gather each room is decorated differently.I was in Lutyens which had a really nice wallpaper of birds and period furniture a large wash basin and powerful easy to use shower with toiletries. Large fluffy towels too and bottled water on the bedside tables. There was even an iron & ironing board with plenty of power sockets and USB charging points. The TV had Amazon Firestick and I was able to easily login to my Netflix.A really comfortable homely stay.Food & drinks: A great menu and bar.Of course I had a Sunday Roast. The roast beef was excellent and just the right portion size. Nice fresh vegetables and a perfect Yorkshire Pudding.

What could be a wonderfully inviting country pub is let down by the shear amount of fan heaters poor layout and uninviting atmosphere. The food is so poor it pains me that I still regrettably paid for it. Pizza dough was undercooked and wet. The tripple cooked chips have blatantly only seen the fryer once and most probably for a quick dunk. If you like budget busting sauces with your meal then this is the place. Real mayonnaise shouldn?t be replaced by cheap alternatives. Like the taste of real Coke? Then you better stop at the Three Horseshoes in Hinxworth where you can get it, along with food worth visiting.

Beautiful venue in a picturesque village, it?s also right next to the springs which is well worth a little look. There?s plenty of parking space in the car park and often on the street out the front. Inside is a warm and welcoming pub- the restaurant is beautifully decorated and set out, and the bar are has a wonderful open fire which is perfect now it?s getting chilly outside. There?s also a room with a pool table and a huge garden. Lovely rooms upstairs to stay over too- this pub has it all! Brilliant venue, lots of gin, delicious food (go for the Sunday roast!) and a young vibrant team front of house.

Lovely, aged public house with rooms for getaways.Beautiful location with the natural springs just a stones throw away. Food is amazing. Friendly chefs. Particularly Dave requires a mention. Friendly bar staff.Definitely recommend for a roast or a quiet drink. Even more beautiful when the real fires are lit in the winter

A great place that feels like home, staff are lovely to talk to and are happy to help accommodate with many things, I enjoyed my stay at the three tuns and will definitely be returning! The garden could do with better utilization of space but a lovely well kept garden none the less!Rooms: rooms are well kept and always tidyNearby activities: campsite nearby, local coffee shops & lovely walks in nature aroundFood & drinks: food is delicious with great variation and dietary accommodations available
