I accompanied my grandson from the US to his college drop off as an international student at Uni of Hertfordshire north of London. The Comet is located at the doorstep of The Hartz Uni. The stress and unknowns of College sign in and drop off far from home were greatly eased at The Comet. We had convenience to shopping, and we were grateful for a cool and charming overnight stay. The on site Element Bar & Kitchen offered a lovely dinner and many dining options. Our goodbyes were much easier thanks to The Comet.

Great hotel, great service, spacious, well designed and clean room. Had a meal in the Elements bar which was very good, and goof value for money. Would stay again if in the area. In a busy area, but not disturbed by any external noise.

Our 1 night stay was perfect - modern hotel with free parking, a nice bar and restaurant, clean and well decorated room, comfy bed! We checked into our room late at night after a busy day and staff were very friendly and helpful! Great value for money!

Good friendly and efficient service; nice room - comfortable and well designed (windows that you could open - and biscuits - what's not to like! Neat feature of ?heated mirror in the bathroom - quickly de-misted after shower, perfect big bed) Good location with a car. Railway station about 30 mins walk but also there is a bus service with a stop near the hotel that takes you to the rail station (though we didn't use it). Approx. 30-40 mins by train into London Kings Cross.

We spent three nights at the Comet, rooms were modern and clean, great to have a lift at the new building that we stayed at as my parents needed it. Beds were decent so we all had good night sleep. Breakfast was buffet style and was very good. Staff there was helpful and friendly. There was an shopping outlet right opposite and we were allowed to use the facilities at the sport village which is 3mins drive, 5-6 mins walk. Perhaps reception team could make sure bills go into the right room(s) and charges were checked thoroughly during check out to avoid any unnecessary stress.

One of the most comfortable and nice Hotel ever visited. I really loved my stay and I wish to visit again and again. The Hotel has the latest technologies and the beds are of highest quality. I loved everything. Even the staff customer service is of higher standard and professional

The rooms were new and clean. However, at £120+ a night, the least one can expect is good customer service which is far from what we received from the receptionist. The hotel didn't have enough keys to provision 2 keys per room, which was quite strange to me but okay cool. When I asked the receptionist why this was the case, she was so rude and dismissive, she almost brought one of my friends to tears. We weren't asking for anything outlandish, just the basic 2 keys per room. I don't remember the last time I witnessed such horrible customer service. I won't be recommending them to friends, neither will I be booking them in the future. In summary: New rooms are nice, receptionist service is horrendous.

Comfy big bed, we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was also amazing, hot and fresh food. Shower was also big and spacious. Room was clean and tidy on arrival, big windows aswell to see outside of our room. Would stay here again. It?s also very close to Harry Potter world.

Love the Works. Bargain books on all sorts from Witchcraft, to Llamas, to Crafts, sheet Music books, fiction and History truly believe they'd be booksglr everyone/anyone coveted and at great value. Then loads of bargain Art, Craft, Crafting Kits, Activity packs etc I can spend literally hours browsing for that.Frequent extra offers like '3 items for £10' from a range where each informally £5 or such like too. Offers on top of very reasonable low prices.Good for kids; Craft, toys, books, learning stuff too.Truly hope these stores survive as lost my old local one now. This is the closest. They have a great website but just not the same for me, or as fun, as going in browsing around looking and choosing stuff.

Today I went there with my friend looking for gifts for different ages children. We were welcomed by the nicest ever person, a shop assistant who helped me to pick the best and showed me different varieties on offer. I was so taken by her kindness and clever thinking what would be the most suitable. Thank you so much for your time and expertise!
