Long wait behind a handful of other customers queuing at the cashiers desks. One other staff member attempting to steer customers to machines or using online banking with little success. Staff otherwise very helpful, pleasant and efficient though. Just not enough of them. This is unfortunate since Halifax branches are now so thin on the ground and keep such short hours.

I've been with this site for over 25 years it used to be excellent customer service, lately i found since covid few individuals have got above their selfs, very rude not welcoming place.Few time's i dreaded going in cos of those individuals.

Absolutely vile. I had a member of staff phone me up, gave me mis information. She was that arrogant, she tried telling me that the Halifax website in front of me was wrong, also the manager in the telephone fraud department & 1 of the most proficient and helpful staff I've spoken to were wrong. I've had to endure over 30 calls over the same unresolved issue in the past 8 months. It's about something that didn't happen. She didn't know how to do her job or about Halifax policies. She shouldn't be allowed to speak to any customers without months of re training. She argued with me about a phone call she wasn't party to. She shouted "LIST-EN TO MEE". I'd listened to enough of what she had to say. It was absolute nonsense and the opposite of everyone else said and the internet.

Have been with halifax for a long long time many years ,but as myself and my wife will not be paying £17 for you to handle MY money now that both myself and my wife have reached 71 we are not covered with travel insurance . The account is not worth it fortunatly there are 2 banks that will offer us inclusive travel and AA coverage .these are coop .and barclays , reach 70 + they do not want you .

Always helpful at the hemel branch. Recently called the customer service as an ATM from Metro had taken £60 from my card but didn't give me the money and they were super helpful. Money was back in my account within 48 hours. Great service thank you

I rang up with a query and at first was told that what I thought should happen does not happen anymore. I did have a feeling I was correct, the member of staff said she would check and get back to me. This she did in a short time and she said that what I had said was was current banking information and she thought legislation was different. She apologized and was incredibly polite and helpful. It so refreshing not to be made out to feel like you are in the wrong and even better to get an apology for it. I do wish more companies/banks would be so honest. Well done Halifax.
