Really impressed with the quality of service and helpfulness from everyone at this branch. No matter the issue, I know it will be resolved quickly, simply, and with a smile.

Unfortunately , as their opening times are limited in the Hitchin branch and Stevenage still closed due to refurb, its hard to visit the branch but there no mention on google or the website about this

Been banking with these for a while now my partner longer, they really are not useful or helpful, any problems we always get given a number to ring which is head office, and there useless too, either don?t answer the phone or kept on hold for a long time. As long as you are giving them money there happy. Anything else ? ring this number they?ll be able to help?

Great building society

This branch of Nationwide is extremely small, & as it only has 2 teller counters, queues are common & sometimes out of the door. There is an automated facility for withdrawing & paying-in inside, which has the capability of also updating your pass book. Personally, I don't feel comfortable in this branch due to it's claustrophobic feel, & look forward to it's impending relocation.

This branch of the Nationwide building society is situated right on the market square right in the centre of Hitchin and, as such, is very handily located. The branch itself is quite small which means that at popular times (lunch hours and Saturday mornings) the queues do build up and it can become quite a squeeze inside. They only have two cashier positions which again doesn't help the overcrowding so it's best to visit at less popular times if you possibly can. That said I've always found the staff friendly and helpful and I've used their banking services at this particular branch for many years. There's a cashpoint ouside if you're short of cash on a shopping trip though again, watch the queues at busy times.
