Lovely staff but they have no idea how to make a cup of tea. I drive for a living and this one is by far the worst one. I've been asked to leave after I told them nicely to make me another cup of tea because they dround it in milk. One one ever drinks tea that milky!

Disgraceful profiteering at South Mimms Services. Fuel at least 20p per litre more expensive than any other garage.

Horrible! For one reason and one reason only. I had to stop to let my engine cool down. It was a very hot day and I have an older car. I inadvertently overstayed the time permitted in the filling station but I was not on the actual forecourt. The Parking enforcement agents have issued me with a Parking Charge of £100 for overstaying by 22 minutes. I won't be spending one single penny in the future at this place. Disgusting.

Another 24/7 closed as when and how the employees decide. ?Closed for delivery? they said until they?re finished ?‍??

£100 fine for a genuine customer - signage non-compliant with British Parking Association Code of Practice - DO NOT OUTSTAY YOUR WELCOME - As a regular customer who previously used the service station services for fuel, food, coffee & toilet facilities I was astounded that a fine ?invoice? was sent in the post by a parking management company for the grand sum of £100. I?ve since revisited the site to see how a driver can miss the signage as they turn into the the normally busy fuel stop. It soon became clear that it was very easy to miss the implied terms when entering the property. As you drive onto the forecourt there?s a tiny sign (est. 30cm x 20cm) on a lamppost that?s obscured by the In sign & it?s illuminating lamp, there?s also a marketing sign that hides the small ANPR notice. BP need to ensure that customers are made aware of the fines that are applied to their customers using the facilities & consequently staying beyond 30 minutes. Don?t bother contacting BP as they are of no help whatsoever. The fine has now increased to £170 and a debt recovery company are hassling me & threatening court action. BP?s customer care ?Careline? are useless too.

Stayed there for about 30 minutes for a toilet break, refuelled and got some things from the store and I get a £170 fine? This is absolutely disgraceful and BP should immediately stop this practice. Not only they can't get my address right, but they also expect us to know there is a 30 minute fine without any signs or any reason. Absolutely despicable and disgusting.

Plenty of parking on this Motorway Service Station. Great clean restrooms. Different food outlets. Shops and gaming machines. A good place to have a break and refreshments before restarting your journey

Similar to others I also received a £100 fine for parking here whilst I ate the lunch I purchased in store. BP should put an end to this practice, or at least warn customers. There were no signs, staff didn't mention. Won't use them again.

Update: a month after contacting BP customer care team I?ve not had a call, email or follow up. Placed numerous calls always told it?s been escalated, no management to talk to, no reply to emails chasing updates. BP do not care about their customers and their staff are very unhelpful

Like many others I've got the £100 parking fine. Has anyone had success with POPLA?
WHERE ARE THE SIGNS?! I've looked on google maps and can't see them. On hold now for over 30 mins to BP "customer care". MET Parking did not accept my appeal after I stopped to rest after a long drive (as instructed by motorway service signs).

I stopped here to use the air pump to inflate my tires. I also bought petrol and bought something in the shop. As a thank you for using these services I also got a £100 parking fine because I stayed on the site for more than 30 minutes. I saw no signs warning me of this so safe to assume they are not very visible. The fine comes from a private company that BP allows to 'manage' their forecourt by fining customers for using their services for too long. Absolute scam.

Disgraceful and fuming about new parking regulations - that clearly I did not see. I have used this service point for years, spent a fair few pound notes here - and discreetly and very recently they have introduced a parking fine of £60 pounds if you stay in a parking bay - at the side of the petrol station for over 30 mins.
Well I filled with petrol, had a superb cappuccino and a lovely juicy bacon and cheese turnover. Took them back to my refuelled car and then plotted the rest of my days visits via email and phone. Bingo the £100 fine arrived, reduced to £60 if I pay. I paid it. But I?m still angry that after 20 years of using the station they DO THIS to customers. Never experienced it before at a services petrol station. It?s bang out of order. I will not use BP ever again - if there were clear signs - I would not have stayed there any longer than I should have done. Since when does a driver note the time of arrival - so how do you record 30 mins. BP Garage, metcity parking , debt recovery plus - your operating a very unfriendly business - being hung up and waiting on phone lines to get a clear explanation was frustrating, and time consuming.

Absolutely disgusting, filthy "female/disabled/baby change". Looks like it's hasn't been cleaned for days...maybe even weeks, e-coli must be running rife in there. Also no toilet roll....I mean, come on...what are women suppose to do, drip-dry.
Why is there only one toilet for women/disabled/baby change, when the mens toilet has more facilities...
Left without using the facilities. But I did inform the staff.
