I love How Wood Pharmacy. Since moving to St Albans, and to the UK from South Africa, I found adjusting to the NHS a difficult transition. The staff at How Wood were the ones who told me what I needed to know and what I needed to do. They continue to offer me fantastic service and always give me excellent advice.

This pharmacy is very expensive. Service is also very slow. Lloyds in Chiswell Geen is cheaper

Absolutely appalled by this pharmacy. Was at a shop next door buying some essential. On going back to my car I noticed a large hand made sign in the window adverting hand sanitiser being back in stock. We are very low on hand sanitiser so thought I?d go in and get a couple. On a shelf by the till there were probably about 100 tiny bottles (sample size, you?d struggle to to do your hands twice). I asked the lady how many I could buy, her response ?as many as you want?.Neither the product nor the shelf had prices on! I took 4 and handed them to the lady at the till..... £27.96!!!! £6.99 for samples!!I?m all for capitalism.... but this is not capitalism, this is abusing a bad situation.Terrible to think a pharmacy would stoop to these levels..they ought to be ashamed of themselves!!!

I received my travel vaccinations here last month. It was cheaper than I expected and the staff were kind and sincere. Will go back there for future vaccinations.

Yesterday I purchased a 500g tub of AquaDerm Aqueous Cream. I was charged 4.99. On my return to home and told my wife, she told me that that was expensive. She looked the price on line. Boots was 1.99 a tub, Waitrose was 2.99 a tub. These tubs were identical to the one that was purchased at How Wood Chemist Park Street. We like to support our local shops but next time I will check prices before I buy.
