Went for an afternoon tea which was very good. Offered more sandwiches, tea etc. It was lovely. Service was excellent.

What a stunning Hotel! We stayed here for my 50th Birthday weekend and it was truly beautiful! We stayed in the Master Suite ?Holly? and I just didn?t want to leave! The room is beautifully decorated throughout, the king size four poster bed is super comfy with 2 sets of French doors which lead out onto a beautiful balcony overlooking the grounds and lake, it is so peaceful apart from birdsong. The hotel has all the luxurious touches you would expect without being over the top or tacky. Breakfast was plentiful and served to a high standard, there were no complaints from any of us! This weekend away was a surprise for me, all staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating, and really helped my family with special birthday touches, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is ideally based for catching trains to London for a west end show etc and has its own car park.We all had a lovely relaxing weekend away and my only complaint was that I couldn?t stay for longer! Would I go back?? in a heartbeat!Thank you to all the staff at St Michaels Manor Hotel for an unforgettable 50th Birthday!

Had just a night here with my daughter.Absolutely lovely.Staff very nice.Gad a prawn dish to die for and the brekky was great.Amazing grounds. Really lovely .

Excellent place to stay in St Albans. Fantastic room and spa like bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and even had our room upgraded which was a nice surprise. We will definitely return when in the area next.

What a beautiful place! The manor feels like frozen in time with the old world charm coupled with modern amenities.It was a perfect getaway for us for the weekend! The lake was almost frozen in the morning but we still had a lovely walk.The breakfast was absolutely tasty and the view from the restaurant is some of the best you can get in the morning.We will definitely be back to this place.

Terrible afternoon tea. Dull, lifeless seating area. Practically empty but service was still terrible. Staff made me feel as though I was disturbing them when I stood for ages near several members of staff waiting to pay.

I went for St Michael?s bottomless afternoon tea brunch with 5 friends and had an amazing time. The service was super quick and friendly and they were extremely generous with the bubbles and didn?t rush us on time. There was an electric violinist playing modern pop songs which made for a great atmosphere. After the tea we went to the bar and continued with cocktails. Altogether a fabulous day and will definitely be back again!!

What a beautiful hotel./manor. The grounds are beautiful. Lots of free parking. The room is like a mini suit. Complimentary tea coffee water. Bath house shampoo condition hand wash. Hairdryer. Iron ironing board and much more. What a gem. Came here on reviews and oh my they are spot on. Just love this place.Rooms: Absolute beautiful so comfortable and relaxing.

Afternoon tea was so so. Hard scones, sandwich selection limited and sweets we're far too sweet. The signature tea blend was very nice and great view from the dinning room.
