AVOID AVOID AVOID! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!Absolutely awful!!! Ordered 2 sofas online cost over £4700. Within 4 months the recliner failed, told it was a motor. Had to wait over 10 weeks for the part and have it replaced.At the time told DFS advisor not happy with the sofas, she first of all had the audacity to try give me the third degree about the sofas and then said a store manager will call within 72 hours! 72 days later, STILL NO CALL!Less than 2 months later, the same recliner making a noise and dipped.RAISED a section 75 and low and behold they've called me! Only to say they gonna do sweet FA, but we'll send a service manager out!Like leaches when you go instore, but they don't want to know when things go wrong!Paying for a BESPOKE sofa that has failed within 4 months and uncomfy like hell! All they do is shove the 2 yr manufacturing warranty down your throat!AVOID AT ALL COSTS!IF YOU CONSIDER BUYING FROM DFS, YOU MIGHT AS WELL THROW YOUR MONEY DOWN A DRAIN!!!!

Please stay away from this place. I have never in my whole life had such awful experience with a company when buying something. Its the constant lies, i am so unhappy i feel like they have mugged us off, plus i still have no sofas.November 2023 i went shopping for a new sofa, we had an idea of what we wanted and had looked in several shops. Then we came to DFS, we walked around and my husband spotted a sofa set on offer. It was pretty much what we needed. A man who introduced himself as the manager said he would see if they had a set anywhere and said it would have to be in Grey, which i wasnt too sure because i didnt want grey it wouldnt match.He came back and said they had a set on Norwich and they could have it to us the first week of December. This news kind of swung it for us. Because we really wanted something as soon as possible, and i could live with the grey, plus it will get to us nice and early. Also the fact they would get our old sofa removed the day before was a factor.With this knowledge we ordered the sofa set some, coffee tables/Side tables and even a rug to go with the new sofas. The tables and rug all showed up when we were told they would. The first week of December we heard nothing, we chased and were told the manager said 'we wont mind it after chirstmas'. Well yes we actually would because we brought the sofa because we were told the first week of December!The manager, said something about Norwich not being in their area, so harder to get it moved. He promised us then it would be delivered between Christmas and New Year, this was not good for us but we would take it because it was now close to Christmas and we had a lot going on. Christmas came and went and we heard nothing.We chased again. And despite it saying our sofa was at the Warehouse since the beginning of December waiting for dispatch, we still have had to chase. The lady said that, that very morning someone had chased it and it had 72 hours on it. 72 hours for what? im not sure, but it certainly wasnt for delivery, because we heard nothing since!I am sick to the back teeth of the constant lies and fobbing off. I feel that they have no care and all we were, were a sale for their christmas bonus, and we have been treated so poorly. I wish we hadn't paid in full because i would have cancelled it and asked them to remove the tables and rug.Its now the 14th of January 2024 and we still have no new sofas. Shame on you DFS Stevenage. I will honeslty never shop with you even again and i will be making sure i warn everyone who will hear me.

Complete lack of customer service, I?ve never seen anything like it. The group of staff were more interested in chatting to one another and hiding at the back of the store than serving customers. We were sat waiting for someone to help us for 15 minutes while being completely ignored by staff wondering past, chatting and pretending to work. We were ready to buy on the day but will happily go elsewhere

Firstly, I am still yet to receive my sofa. Despite having been given 3 delivery dates, all of which I?ve had to take off of work.The store, the customer service team on the phone and the delivery company (whilst all under dfs ownership) don?t seem to communicate. There is no store phone number, after my third visit to the store, I was given the store email address which I?ve emailed 4 times and had no response on.Initially, I went to the store and specifically asked for a sofa with removable arms, ordered one which the stevenage store manager showed me had zip bottom and detachable arms and waited for delivery.It actually did arrive on the first date given, although the sofa was different to the one in store with no zip bottom and I was informed by the delivery men that they couldn?t remove the arms and therefore get it in.I called the delivery company, dfs customer services and after no luck, visited the store. I was told there was a mistake, they should have torn the bottom and later repaired it and that I would receive my sofa within a day or two. I didn?t .I then had confirmation the sofa would come a further 3 days later on the Friday. Only to receive a confirmation email for delivery at an even later date still. The store informed me that they couldn?t tell me which day it was coming and I would need to wait and see.It didn?t come on the Friday.I was told I would receive a call or text the night before my delivery date (today). I haven?t.I have now checked online to track my order, only to see the sofa is marked down as having already been delivered.I?ve called customer service, they couldn?t find anything and said they would call me back within half an hour, they haven?t. I have emailed the store and of course they haven?t replied either.Misinformation at every stage, appalling service, disconnected operation. All resulting in me losing money and time. Not to mention still be sofa-less with no update or help from DFS in the run up to xmas.Absolutely disgraceful.

Great furniture store. Shame the furniture nik naks are not available, as many people wanted them to dress their rooms.

I always feel like going into a furniture store is like falling into shark infested waters. As soon as you go in the door of any sofa store, everyone looks up and they start circling, with pens and ipads at the ready. Today, we were left alone, but Sarah introduced herself and said give me a shout if you need anything. Really did leave us alone too, but noticed what style of sofa we were looking at and directed us to the ones we had missed. After we had narrowed it down, she offered us a cup of quite decent coffee, which was greatly appreciated. Once we got down to the final two, she did step in to help with measurements, alternatives and options. Even though I've worked in sales, Sarah never made it feel like we were being sold to or pressured and she was very good at explaining everything. Thoroughly recommended!

Lived here many years, this is first visit. Store well laid out lovely items ,something for everyone. I would reccomend, however be mindful of your budget. Having nice furniture might turn your head to "how much" you spend. Nevertheless I would definitely shop here.
