I have had mixed experiences here - the opticians generally seem ok but there are some frustrating aspects - mostly due to processes and systems. My son recently needed a new pair of lenses for his glasses, and not only did the online system not update when they were delivered to store, but communication regarding the collection was generally poor. I asked if we could come to collect on the Sunday and was just told when they were open. There was no mention of needing to see the optometrist again or that we might need to wait for one to become available. When we turned up to collect we were told we would need to come back in 40 mins because the optometrist wasn't available. The lady couldn't explain why they don't actually pre-arrange times for the children's glasses collections if you need to fit them among other appointments. We were just told that the system wouldn't allow it but that we couldn't take my son's glasses without seeing the optometrist. Fortunately we were able to hang around for some time and went back, to be finally seen for no more than a minute, just checking my son could see through them and that they didn't slide off when he moved. It seemed a lot of hanging around for a process that is normally done by the assistants. I wonder if potentially the Sunday staff just do not have sufficient training?It worked out ok in the end, but the lack of consideration for the customers time is irritating. Not everybody would have time to hang around and wait - in which case they could have had a wasted journey and further delay in getting their glasses. Better communication and a small tweak to processes would avoid any issues and give a better customer experience.

Horrible experience. Very rude staff name is Felipa Pereira no clue of customer care. She was packing me the frame full of scratch from display and to question whyAnswer was that i did not ask for new. Its obvious no one will pay for your rubishes.After i asked her to order new pair to my home address she rolled her eyes... i canceled the purchase immediatelly with tend never to go back. Stay away from this shop

The service was way above my expectations. Staff is excellent. All of my issues were addressed promptly, everything explained clearly and sorted smoothly. No time wasted. I received both my spectacles and contact lenses much sooner than expected. I very much appreciate staff helping me to choose the right frames with patience and in friendly manner. Great team, thanks a lot ?

I had a very pleasant experience on 09/08/2023. Had an eye test done by Ash, who was very professional and helpful. Filipa could not have been more helpful or patient in helping me choose some new frames. She provided superb service -nothing was too much trouble.Highly recommend it!

Recently had an eye test and bought new glasses. The optician, Ash, was brilliant. Plenty of choice for new glasses and the overall experience was great. Would recommend highly.

* My son was aged 3 years old when I took him to Vision Express Watford for an eye test. There were no child friendly tests and the optician appeared not to have assessed a child's eyesight before.* When she used the machine to screen his eyesight she became anxious and started repeating, "That can't be right".* I was left terrified and simply handed a piece of paper referring us to a hospital children's eye clinic with no explanation.* I raised a complaint which has not received a response.* I would strongly recommend avoiding Vision Express Watford if you are looking to have your child's eyes tested.

Really happy with my eye sight test. The optometrist Parul Shah was super thorough with the examination and explained everything so well. Really pleased and looking forward for my contact lenses fitting.

Visited store to pick up contact lenses after I received a text. Kept me waiting at the front on the store and then told me they couldn?t find them. Total waste of a trip.
