Beautifully laid out store with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices on certain goods are quite high, but then quality costs in this country.

I've just popped into store in Welwyn and I had to comment, the staff were incredibly helpful and kind.I was looking for shoes for a wedding and I was served by Gemma (I know because I went back to ask her name) incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and charming. Well done John Lewis.

Yesterday, I visited the Welwyn Garden John Lewis store in the afternoon. While browsing the Women's clothing section and collecting items, my friend and I proceeded to the cashier to pay. Unfortunately, the two cashiers had a very prejudiced behavior towards us. On a positive note, there was one outstanding employee named DEEPANI who was very friendly and treated us with utmost respect. I believe the cashiers could greatly benefit from learning customer interaction skills from DEEPANI. As customers, we expect and deserve respectful treatment from all employees, and the cashier's prejudiced behavior was a disappointing example of the opposite. I hope the store addresses this issue to ensure a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers. Thankyou

The shop is ok. Bit old fashiobed and quite expensive.But beware of the adjacent carpark ! Demanded £100 fine when I had paid for parking and departed before expired time. Disgraceful hassle to resolve the issue.I won't be going to buy anything at this shop again. Ruined my Christmas.

Went to John Lewis Welwyn store today, what a huge disappointment!!Went to buy a new foundation, first trying Dior, counter is quite busy, but soon a Dior sales lady came to help to find the right shade for me, but she's only been working there for 3 days currently UNTRAINED, didn't know anything about the products they have, or how to apply to my face. At one point, she left to pick up another product for me, but noticed her friend in the shop and decided to stop for a chat. She eventually arrived back without an apology, and continued applying makeup to my face. After 15 mins and half of my face full of different wrong shade, and badly applied product, someone senior finally notice both of us need help, but then after I was left there ALONE for good 10 mins UNATTENDED, I have to find a way to clean my own face and left.Next, I needed to return a Bobby Brown product. First I went to customer services, which was deserted apart from the currency exchange, who advised me to do my return at the Bobby Brown counter. When I arrived there, the staff member abruptly told me to do my return at another counter as she was busy painting HER OWN nails. Found the whole experience to be extremely unprofessional, and a huge let down from the standards I'd expect from John Lewis.

After visiting the cafe yesterday i was very disappointed. The toastie was not good at all for price paid. Coffee and cake would of been a better choice. I wil not return here for lunch

Went into the cafe in John Lewis welwyn today. Ordered two toasted sandwiches and two teas milk for teas was in a cup. Went to seat down and noticed a hole in the ceilings with water dripping through into a bucket. After 30 minutes no toasted sandwiches had turned up. Went back to counter and they had no record of them being ordered. Asked for my money back and left the store. Very disappointed and not the service I expect from John Lewis.

Cafeteria at John Lewis Welwyn was the MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE ever. Terribly managed, your poor staff close to tears and customers beyond frustrated with the process of choosing food and paying for it. Needs Gordon Ramsey for all of 10 min to fix it. Either close it down and reorganise it or invest in a manager that can turn it around.

Shocked!Went into the Welwyn store to buy a new vacuum cleaner as mine blew up on Christmas Day. After selecting the model I wanted, I took the ticket to the counter to purchase it. The partner at the till rolled her eyes and sighed and asked me what the item was, I said it was a vacuum cleaner. She then asked me if it did the hoovering on its own for that price!! What?!Next time I?ll take my money elsewhere.

Can?t speak highly enough of the service received in store. We visited several depts customer collections, furniture and baby and were met with friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff everywhere we went. It was a delightful, personalised experience! Great job team Welwyn!
