It can be difficult to get an appointment and I don't like the idea of having to compete with your fellow villagers to race to grab an appointment at exactly 8am or 12pm, but such is the state of over subscribed surgeries and expanding villages these days. The staff do try their best to help and the GPs have all been polite, friendly and professional.

Visited September 2023: Covid vaccine in the pharmacy. There was two people ahead of me but got seen quickly. The person double checked I could have the vaccine as there was some confusion but all sorted out and received. The surgery is located in a gorgeous spot, never seen such a idyllic location for a surgery before!

As usual the receptionist were very kind and helpful The doctor I saw put me at ease straight away and prescribed me some medicine and told me to come back if I didn't feel better in a few days!

Difficult to arrange appointments, long waits on the phone then told to call back the next day. Always seem to be problems with my repeat prescription especially my dosset box unbeknown to me my dosset boxes had been given to a different pharmacy to make up on a regular basis but nobody bothered to tell me until I complained to the pharmacy at Bridge Cottage and their reply was your dosset boxes are nothing to do with us anymore.

Usually very good but lately no feedback and follow up after scans. I got told my scan was all ok, no further action which has nothing to do with why I went for a scan in the first place. Called 4 times, each time held fire at least 10 minutes, just ridiculous. If you call at 8am or midday when they release appointments you can wait for 30 minutes

Booked what I thought was an in person consultation via the website, only later to get a text telling me when a Dr would telephone. Have a condition which needs examining. Very disappointed

would give no start if i could. they are rude, don?t care about any confidential information and shout at across the room all about my medication. awful service and the surgery and pharmacy need to get their act together.

Laura the nurse was very professional and extremely kind during an uncomfortable procedure. She communicated with me all the way through it and made me feel at ease. Credit to the practice, thank you Laura :)

Shocking place. Long queue of people waing to see receptionist. The automatic call system was not working - hadn't been working for two weeks! The water fountain was not working and looked filthy.Of the two self check-in screens, only one was working, and this was 'hidden' by the queue for reception so making it very hard to access. There was a chair with the most vile-looking dark stain on it; no one in their right mind would sit on it, but more toi the point why does no one from the practice do anything promptly about these things? Disgraceful.Today I've been trying to get through to reception: still not luck after three hours waiting: there weree twenty callers in front of me: how long can it take to answer twenty calls? Surely not 3 houors!!! I only want blood test results and maybe to make an appointment to see the doctor. No appointments are bookable online as far as the system goes which is 19th April. Really, really shocking.

I had an urgent issue, but had not yet registered with a doctor after moving into the area 3 months ago. The receptionist was really helpful and I the GP professional and friendly. I was able to register with the practice and see a doctor on the same day, including getting a prescription sorted out straight after the consultation.

If I could give no star I would. Daughter having to take morning off school as they have only 2 appointment times available in the next 2 weeks and those are with the nurse. Rubbish service.

I had an ongoing health issue that was ignored at Chells Surgery in Stevenage where I used to live and due to moving back into the area I re-registered with Bridge Cottage. I was referred to a gynaecologist at Lister where I had my procedure 4 months later. It has been 2 years total of having symptoms and I paid privately for scans as my last doctor did not refer me yet dropped cancer casually into a phone consultation so I can only thank Bridge Cottage for dealing with the matter swiftly and appropriately as I as near enough lost all hope with medical professionals. The state of affairs is sad in that it really is a post code lottery as to how you will be treated sometimes. Dr. Engi Refaat has a lovely manner which was refreshing after my previous bad experience.
