British supermarket chain, Iceland, is a frozen food specialist established in 1970. From its headquarters in Deeside, Wales, the company now has over 800 locations in the UK.
The chain specialises in selling a number of frozen foods, including prepared meals, meat and vegetables. In addition, Iceland sells non-frozen foods including dairy, dry goods and produce.
Over 23,000 staff members now work for Iceland, and a number of recent marketing campaigns have been heavily targeted at its key female audience of 'mums'.
A number of regular offers and promotions are common instore, including 'buy one get one free', 'meal deals', and 'clear cut prices'.
Home delivery is also available from Iceland, with orders over £35 receiving this service for free. A 'Bonus Card' loyalty program has also proved popular with regular customers.
