They only have 1 room with a walk in shower which was already booked so we'd booked a room with a shower over the bath for 1 night. The room was lovely and bright and clean overlooking the sea. It had obviously been newly decorated. Unfortunately the bath had no handles to get in and out and, not being that young anymore, we were a bit nervous about that. The manager, Rob, was very helpful and said he would try and contact the people who had booked the room with the walk in shower as this was a family room with a sofa bed and the booking was only for 2 people. Rob spent a lot of time on this and eventually managed to contact the people who were happy to swap rooms with us. This room was double aspect and overlooked the sea and the park which was lovely. My only complaint of the room was the mould on the windows and the cobwebs which was quite disgusting. The breakfast was very good and all the staff were lovely. Thank you Rob for all your help it was much appreciated.

First in @6:30. Starters and Mains excellent (Crevettes, Moules and huge Sea Bass - cooked perfectly) Very nice feel to dining area until it wasn?t. After filling up significantly the service deteriorated inversely. Twice I had to go to the bar for a drink and then the bill. I understand that life is slower on the IoW but really there were too few staff for the customers present.

On holiday in Ryde: Other people told us they had a nice meal here last year so we walked from Ryde for an evening meal. The food wasn't bad but for the prices charged I thought it was, at best, average. The sardine starter was laughably small; when asked how the food was we were told this would be fed back to the chef and the manager. The sea trout main was very stingy portion size with 4 tiny potatoes: Not good value for money. The desserts were very nice and the pub itself was very nice, close to the sea. After spending £82 on dinner I wasn't expecting to walk back still feeling hungry.

Had a very comfortable stay. We didn't have dinner at the Inn but the menu looked very good. The breakfast was just lovely. He had the kippers which were great and I had the poached eggs/avocado on toast, was sooooo tasty, my taste buds were singing all day.

Went here a couple of times whilst staying on the Isle of Wight. Really friendly staff and excellent food (the pasta I had was outstanding). A cosy pub occupying a fantastic location on the coastal path with beautiful views out to sea. I will visit the Boat House again next time I?m on the island.

Unable to cook chips hard as rock Price is high for uncooked chips Simple process of cooking chips don't like to complain but if the price of 10 chips was a bit lower they may have been a bit easier to swallow Anyway I pop in for a meal see what I obtain for high priced food Dont mind paying higher prices if it's really nice Alternative chip shop

The worst afternoon tea I have ever experienced, I took my sister to celebrate her birthday with two others, we were served only three tiny sandwiches each, not even two slices of bread each, two small pots of clotted cream and two very tiny pots of jam, to share between four of us, the drinks were served an hour before the afternoon tea came out, so we asked for more drinks and were told these would be charged for as extra!!, this dreadful afternoon tea was at a cost in excess of £80.00, a real rip off of very poor quality. Will never go there again.

The hotel side was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean, full marks for this. It was comfortable, well furnished and looked directly out to the beach. You could fall asleep listening to the waves. A fan was provided for the hot weather . Breakfast was exceptional and the staff were friendly. I would revisit. The car park was a bonus and the location is excellent for walks through Puckpool into Ryde or into Seaview village and beyond. Handy for the car ferry at Fishbourne and for exploring the island. The Seaview area is quiet and laid back. This would have been an' excellent' review except that we think the restaurant needs a bit of a rethink. The food was ok but it was overpriced for what is essentially a pub restaurant. We ate there several times and service was slow. We felt the service didn't match up to the price tag of the food.

Just finished a lovely pork Sunday roast with proper crackling. Friendly staff, dogs welcome (treats) and top grub. Great seafront location, eat in or out. Thoroughly recommend but probably better to book at busy times.
