“Lovely fish and chips and Prosecco at The Hideaway this lunchtime. Very nice, attentive staff, quick service and a great atmosphere! Also, the sea view was second to none ! X”

“.e ans my partner went last week and we can honestly say it's the best place we have ever eaten. The service was fantastic, never had to wait around for anything. The atmosphere was lovely especially being literally on the beach. Very cosy feel inside but most of all the food was beyond amazing. If you a fan of fish or not there is plenty to chose from and all taste good. I have to say there food is so good I wouldn't even care where they served it to me. Yes I'm cheap and I don't tip anyone but I did these guys! I'm trying to write this review but there are genuinely not enough words to describe how much we loved it here. We will be travelling to the Isle of Wight again literally just to eat here”

“We visited for a drink and the staff were so welcoming and child friendly we returned for a full dinner later in the week. The food was amazing and portions massive. Their kids menu had a lot of choices and the pub and staff are very dog friendly too. Would recommend anyone coming to Shanklin to visit here.Food & drinks: Food and drinks were full of variety and very good quality.”

“This is a lovely pub, serving in our experience, freshly cooked and excellent value food. How on earth could anyone complain about two main meals for £16.50 (14.99 if you choose differently) Both meals very good, and well presented. Thoroughly enjoyed, if a little too much - so very good value for a hearty appetite.Staff are always friendly and welcoming - even under pressure. This property desperately needs investment to support the staff who are clearly working so hard, and the visitors who flock to the Old Village expecting a bit more. Come on Greene King!!! You have the staff and the food. Invest some money and make The Crab THE place to visit in Shanklin”

“Just back from a 8 day camping trip at landguard holiday park although the weather was not with us there was plenty to do still with the team stars working hard all the time to keep the children and adult’s entertained the bar staff are just as hard working in this little clubhouse serving drinks and collecting the food. A special mention to the whole gang on the touring field with such bad weather not once did I find the toilets or the showers dirty they was kept clean all the time they was there which was no mean feat with the weather we had so well done 5 stars”
