Serving larger in ale pint glasses with no widgets is the worst. No one in this day and age ever wants to drink a lager that looks flat and tastes flat. You can do better than that. Breweries don?t charge for pint glasses like you keep telling your customers

Went in. All rosy. Had a beer. Lovely. Even got offered a second pint for the price of a half. Excellent. Played the fruit machine. A random "power cut" happened to occur, just when I won money on a feature. Before the feature completed, a power cut happened. This meant the winnings didn't transfer to the balance, meaning I lost the lot. This power cut didn't affect the lights, just the fruit machine, till, and stereo. Staff were totally disinterested when i complained. When I said their response wasn't good enough, the lady behind the bar told me she had a mind to switch the machine off and ask me to leave, as I was being so rude. This is a dreadful way to treat customers; there may well have been nothing they could do, but they could have apologized, or offered me a drink, or even a refund. What came across was "We've got your money now, so tough." I asked the landlady directly to be reimbursed. The response? "What proof have you got?" I couldn't believe her attitude. I was then told "The answer's no, you didn't win the money." It was as if she thought I was trying to con the pub.....the amount I asked to be refunded was £15.00. Why on earth would I claim to have won £15.00 if I hadn't? That's not even three drinks nowadays, is it? This demonstrated pure ignorance, given the amount of money I've put over their bar, and in their machine in recent months. If you can't treat customers (or even talk to them) better than that, you shouldn't be publicans. I understand it was my choice to gamble, and when you gamble, you have to expect to lose. But it was their total refusal to acknowledge that I didn't get the gameplay I paid for which was so poor. Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a big chunky bloke who enjoys a pint and who isn't afraid to chuck money about in a pub. But don't you DARE make out I'm trying to con you. I promise you, I will NEVER visit your premises again, in future I'll use The Fox, a proper pub where I'm treated like royalty. Your loss, not mine.

When the pub was first taken over and renovated a few months ago it was lovely and the staff were lovely. The pub itself is still lovely but the ?new? barmaid is not so, very unwelcoming and actually quite rude and snappy.

Cosy local pub these days, decent Thai food on a Friday evening, which is when I went in, and reasonably priced cocktails. Service was fantastic.

we've used the pub on a few occasions and always found it good they had a varied menu and good beer we went back last week only to be told that the menu had changed completely and that they only had one ale on this was a little disappointingwhat's more we weren't aware that the car park was now for patrons only and you have to register your car number with a member of staff we subsequently receive a £60 pound fine so please be aware of this

It's been YEARS since I last visited this pub. I popped in whilst waiting for my dog to have her groom around the corner. The place has been freshened up since my last bist and to be honest, a total treat. Good selection of beers/ales, cocktails on tap and from what I saw a very good pub food menu. Collected my dog after her groom, popped back had another lovely ale. (Tim Taylors) can't really go wrong. Was a real pleasure to visit and next time I'll be sure to have more time. Brilliant job.

New menu widely advertised . Visited on a week day lunchtime . Made to feel incredibly welcome by bar staff (Tracy) Just the two of us and our dog ! Menu is traditional and a Caribbean twist . Burger and chips were very good ! The jerk chicken burger was superbly cooked with obvious great passion by chef ( Lenny) all sauces and dressings homemade and prepared to your preference of spice/ heat . A great effort being made , a nice touch by the chef to speak to all diners on their thoughts !! Definitely worth a visit !!!

Decided to book Sunday roast due to the the lovely reviews this pub has received recently. The meat was tender, lots of seasonal veg, cheese cauliflower, nice roast potatoes. Homemade Yorkshire pudding, maybe slightly over cooked, but still tasty. As for the gravy, I just had to ask for slightly thicker gravy, as it is my preference. Nothing was too much for the young boy serving today and the young girl behind the bar. Will book again.

It?s an ok pub. Might have been unlucky but my beer didn?t taste too fresh and the wine my other half had was barely drinkable.
