England?s first Cathedral and one of the most visited historic sites. The entry ticket is valid for over many months, so you can revisit if you keep the entry ticket.Read the daily schedule before visiting, because some of the areas are only open at certain times of the day, there are also some events happening on certain days to be aware of.You can easily spend a couple of hours here. The souvenir store is good, and there are shops and restaurants nearby in the city Centre.

I'm not remotely religious, but the shear size of the cathedral was overwhelming. It's vast, how did they achieve this, unbelievable. All the volunteers were friendly, informative and approachable. We went quite early and it was still relatively quiet. It does get busy, especially with school groups, but it's a must see, simply stunning

Well worth a visit. Make sure you do the audio tour, which brings the cathedral to life.

The majestic Canterbury Cathedral is a true architectural and spiritual jewel. The impressive Gothic structure and elaborate details are stunning to behold. The interior, rich in history and atmosphere, conveys a feeling of serenity and contemplation that leaves a lasting impression.

Awesome, rarely do you come across a building that takes your breath away when you walk into it. Canterbury cathedral is one of them places. The whole place is alive with history, there is so much to see you need at least 2 visits to even come close to seeing everything. The little museum in the crypt is brilliant with lots of interesting things on display. There is a charge to enter which can be something of a contentious point with it being a place of worship but personally I don't have a problem paying. If architecture or history is your thing then Canterbury cathedral is a must do.

The cathedral is magnificent. But I am giving it a one-star review in the hope that someone in authority reads this. My wife and I visited Canterbury over the last three days to see if we should move to the city. Would we like it? Well we decided that we cannot move there because there is no signal anywhere. It is like a third world city.I suspect that is a huge contributing factor to the apparent demise of many parts of the town.No one can get online to find where they are or where they are going. And I was told it is because the powers that be in the cathedral won?t allow a mast. Well I think that someone needs to wake up.. such a shame? you need to move with the times before you have a wonderful cathedral in a dead city. In the meantime our search continues.

If you have the opportunity to go - do not miss it!If you stay in the Cathedral Lodge you get free entry. We stayed there, but paid an additional £5pp for the tour - and it was absolutely worth it!Our tour guide - Michael Cross - was top notch! Highly recommend! The cathedral is so big and grand, there just aren't the right words to do it justice.Beautiful place - be sure to go!

Nice to look round outside without being charged, but£17 each to go into a church is ridiculous, making visiting the cathedral only for the affluent. Churches should be open to all. I?m sure if you changed much less you?d have many more visitors and not suffer financially.I was very disappointed in the exclusion of ordinary people. We didn?t buy tickets!!

So much to see inside and around this huge cathedral.

Great visit and the cathedral should not be missed.Arrived early and it was wonderful to walk around a largely empty (of tourists) cathedral. I found audio guide to be essential. It was difficultto find the cloisters. However the cathedral lacked a spiritual heart and the erstwhile shrine area needs more thought. Few places to light a candle. So a magnificent cathedral that was built by the catholics and is now used by the anglicans. Not. to be missed.

The cathedral is a house of worship with beautiful details. Muslims rarely enter it, but we enjoyed its details and the splendor of the architectural design. The place is big, our tour inside took about an hour. Not suitable for children who may get bored.Entrance with a ticket per person costs 17 pounds per person. Tickets are sold at the reception when entering through the main door.

WowwwwAre british crazy? We are talking of a church. Nothing comparable to italian one and? the are asking 17 pound per person? It doesn?t worth it at all! No information, no clear description! 17 pound and is under renovation, not even a discount!!! Then, they complain that the loss 3 million pounds for the covid time! What do they want? That a Unesco symbol, will pay for everything?? They steal money to visitors and catholic! As a chatolic going there in pilgrimage they stole me money
