Had a water pump and drive belt replaced a few. Weeks ago , water pump blew on. A busy Monday morning called up dartford autocentre and manager said bring it down straight away and they replaced water pump and drive belt.the same day ? was happy with that as main dealer couldn't do it for 1week. Price was a little heavy because I was charged full price / of belt and labour for drive belt , when the drive belt is off anyway that was the only.thing . But I can't complain because we all need to earn money and dartford guys done it straight away no problems and no stress. Should of got there names , I'm sure they are on the invoice but I will be back soon I am sure for other repairs thanks guys.Service: Engine repair

I had MOT service of my car at Halford Dartford. As a result of it, there is now a leak under the engine, which has never been before. Absolutely shocking to get it serviced and receive an issue caused by the way it was serviced at Halfords Dartford. Very disappointing.Service: Oil change

Sorry, not a fan here. Everyone will have different experiences! But ours!!.... Took car in to have a MOT and Service. A fault was found with the turbo to which they fixed and replaced with for a huge fee. After this the car developer fault upon fault and even after returning back to the garage three times. The fault then became too much for Halfords to fix and repair and now another garage is now fixing Halfords work for three times the amount this garage initially charged us. Could be coincidence? But as I said this is our experience. Obviously won't be returning in future.

Disgusting service. Had 3 new tyres fitted 2 of which went flat, it was 3 days before I noticed. Took it elsewhere, they had failed to check the valves which were leaking. Where I took it told me they automatically put new valves on every time they put a new tyre on. Will never ever use Halfords again and the manager has attitude problem

Please read the recent reviews, before heading off to this autocentre, i should have done that, went for service here and MOT, missed to check functioning the items mentioned in their service, failed my MOT and manger is offended and argues with customer, when told about thier mistake, customer service does nothing as well!! My last ever visit to Halfords, like many other out there!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Avoid Halfords for your car. This place is ran by kids it appears who do not care.Booked and paid for online last week before the snow came for two new tyres with alignment for today at 2pm which is during my lunch hour. I only went to work today with my current tyres on the limit as i was under the impression i was going to get new tyres, as work is half an hour walk from Halfords. Brought the car before 2pm as requested and left the locking wheel nut and fob with the uninterested guy in reception and proceeded to walk back to work. I was on the phone to a friend when i started receiving a call on the other line but the number was witheld and no voicemail was left so i carried on talking to my friend unaware who was trying to call and with the abundant spam calls these days i assumed was another as no number was shown. Then about 10 mins later another missed call. So i though surely its not Halfords. I was by now near to work and called halfords number for the centre using the online number and was on hold for ages by which time i was back at work. Eventually get through and he tells my my tyres arent in and possibly was an error with the online order (even though i was charged??) He said he tried calling me, but i told him if he didnt leave a voicemail how am i meant to know who it is plus the number is withheld when they call. So i walk all the way back for my car with nothing done and they said they dont know why my tyres werent ordered to the centre and to call customer services. When i get back to work only then do i see my order is cancelled as they just cancelled it. Customer service cant seem to find out why my order was cancelled and why i was not told before today. personally i think its down to the kids running it within the auto centre who didnt do the order when it came through. All the boss at customer care could offer was an insulting free MOT or £15 off tyres... yeah, right. F off!!! one star only for the customer care lady who tried to help me, the rest are incompetant and get 0 stars, maybe it did me a favour as maybe the tyres might have been put on wrong!Service: Tires

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!There are many well reputed garages around dartford who genuinely cares about you and your vehicle, take your car to them.I booked in a number of health checks at the Dartford branch via Halfords website. When I turned up for the appointment the staff wasnt really happy to delegate a staff to do the checks and told me to come back another day. Day before the second appointment date i received an email notifying my appointment is cancelled without providing any reason..

Avoid! Very inconsiderate! I serviced my car a wheel before an MoT. I took the car in and they failed me when I told them to check everything at any expense to prevent the car failing. No one seemed to care. Very disappointing and the failure is due to a £1 part.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Took my car here a few months ago and the service recieved stinks. My mate literally said the same which is why I'm on here to tell you to take your car somewhere else. They couldn't fix an Air conditioner after 4 attempts. Don't do it.

Booked in Sunday as they were the only garage showing available slots. Website showed availability and to drop car off for 10:00. I drove 40 mins to get there and on arrival was told that the alignment machine it's broken down.Not good enough considering website allowed me to book in. If I book my car in and drive 40 mins to go to a garage having already paid for a service I expect it to be done.LOOKS LIKE THE STAFF DOESN'T WANT TO WORK ON SUNDAY MORNINGS, so don't book Sundays there, as they will find excuses to cancel your bookingBiggest inconvenience. Unacceptable customer service.

Been there three times and every time i am given big bills even though I pay online and book the cars for a full service and MOT.Recently I took my Smart car for a full service and MOT, ended up havomg to pay £300 on top of the normal service charge to replace a fuel sump that can be bough online for £38. 'We use only authorized distributors' they said - but I very highly doubt that - since the price I found online are distributors of authorized parts themselves!Over all, have been the service has always been over priced and the trend they have set for themselves is to charge as much as possible every single time! So, avoid this place if you can. I have learnt my lessson well and good.Otherwise Halfords Autocentre in Dartford is pretty descent, easy to make the booking and hand over the keys and collect as mentioned, but the fact that they always overcharge for things makes it very annoying!
