I purchased some laminated flooring from Whitstable BQ.It was marked down as ?end of line? stock.I bought all 9 boxes they had, BUT discovered on opening many tiles were damaged.I called BQ Canterbury they were very helpful but said the ?only? store that had some was BQ Maidstone.I calked them Saturday a really helpful assistant was very helpful He found 6 boxes out of the way on a high shelf and said ?they? are damaged and dirty you need to talk to the paint dept I put a note with them.I arrived Sunday the paint dept had the boxes and said you need to talk to a manager about cost.A women who said she was ?manager? came with a assistant, there started a stupid pointless conversation about ?cost? .I pointed out to them both how idiotic ?their? discretion was in the point of cost, because 1.the boxes are damaged, 2. the product is discontinued, 3. the boxes from Whitstable BQ were damaged.She the manager said ITS UP to ME what I will sale them to you for !We continued I told her I was, had recorded the interactions.She left, came back with a Male Manager.He was rude and unhelpful his attitude was very poorHe threatened me many times about Not Selling Me the boxes despite he aware a floor layer had laid the floor, but needed to replace the broken tiles in the boxes supplied by Whitstable HIS response was ?Not My Problem? go back to Whitstable.I suggested it was his problem as He works for the corporation BQ, he said NO, it?s not my problem it?s yours, I then said under the acts of ?fit for purpose? and or BQ supplying faulty goods, it?s BQ problem, you are making it very personal, and having a utterly stupid conversation about faulty goods, HE said they were sold as faulty I said utter nonsense in Maidstone yes YOU are selling me damaged boxes of which I want to purchase the good ones from, but you say I cannot do that, which again was idiotic your Maidstone boxes were damaged (I have Photos) Whitstable boxes were sold as ?end of line? BQ should have replaced those HE said NO it?s Whitstable BA and your problem !I kept my cool as I needed those boxes to finish off my floor.So eventually I bought 3 boxes, of which at least 2 were to to replace the damaged ones from Whitstable !I paid for them at the till at 4 times the cost I paid at Whitstable !I then said, as I now had the boxes and paid for them I want your customer services phone number, the make manager Paul was on the phone so I handed him my receipt and said to the till person get me the CS number, I quickly left the store to put the boxes in my car before Paul changed his mind again about me buying them.Paul then, as I was putting the 3 boxes in my car came over and said I do not need the phone number of the CS as he had resolved the issues, I said NO you had not your are a idiot, I felt I could say that now as I now had the boxes in my car boot.Paul then made some very rude remarks to me close up to me, and yes I responded with the same unkindness!Also Paul said he would have me removed as I was shouting !I pointed out to Paul that?s discrimination as I have a hearing impediment, is that BQ policy to discriminate against disabled people or just at 68 pensioners, which is it Paul ?He said he was not aware of my hearing issues, I said you could have said Mr Little you are either very angry or do you have a hearing issues as your voice is loud ????These 2 managers need urgent retraining.The young man on Saturday was fabulous, as was the lady in paint department, and Canterbury store assistant (lady)

I would not usually rate a B and Q, but I am.a take point customer and a elderly lady was so "human" and talkative plus very helpfull I wish I had remembered her name. She was very good and wished all were like her. She brings good personal service to a faceless organisation. It was like being transported to an indipendant DIY supplier.Appologies for not being able to remember your name but I will use that store more often if your the main checkout lady. ( if I'm allowed to say that)

Worse b & q in Kent with the worse cashier ever. Don't go there on a Wednesday other you get pure harassment from this cashier about providing ID for purchases. Nowhere else they ask for this except Maidstone and she only asks 'certain people'. Fed up it

Store is very dated, especially with the original 1980s flooring. Decent range of goods but there are bigger and better out there.

Thankyou b&q I had an excellent trip there the staff there are so friendly helpfull and professional. I went there to buy a chainsaw and the team that were there helped me make the perfect choice and there knowledge of the saw that I purchased was second to none great place to shop well worth the trip there.

Their Valspar mixed paint is useless . Avoid like the plague. Also their own paint (good home) is the same ?
