Went to the Maidstone store to sell a tablet which is in excellent condition as barely used, they tested the item and told us they couldnt accept it as the tablet was warped, and proceeded to show us it 'wobbling' on an uneven surface. Ive never had any issues in this store before so was baffled when I heard this. I then put it on a flat surface in the shop and it didnt wobble at all, and questioned this decision. We were told they couldnt do anything now that the tester had marked the item as failed, even now it was clear it wasnt warped when on a flat surface. The tester was only a couple of metres away and would've heard us disucssing thisbut the person who served us didnt bother to even ask them to look at it again. They had signs up saying they were not accepting anymore hardware for the day, so its clear this decision was made purely because they couldnt be bothered and wanted to leave on time, or because they already had too much hardware to sell in the shop. Extremely frustrating and I now cant get the item sold at any CEX store. Really not happy with this

This used to be a great store, the staff seemed interested and were always very helpful. Recently staff have seemed miserable and came accross as inpatient. Abit sad as had a lot of good memories and used to be a highlight of a town trip. At this point I don't think I will go back

We are TV repair company and was asked to check a Samsung TV that CEX Maidstone refused to buy as it has a fault. However, it happened to be a TV from a customer of ours which we added an Amazon Fire Stick to enable ITVx etc. Unfortunately, the owner having a disability, couldn?t cope with it so he purchased a new set which we installed. Hence the sale of a perfectly good working set.CEX having told our/their customer that it would take 45 minutes to access the condition of the set, within this time they swapped the set for the same model which has a fault. How do we know this? Well apart from having seen the set working perfectly the previous day it only took us a few minutes to diagnose the problem of what they returned.The picture has a deep blue cast as the LED backlights are failing over time.Freeview channels were not tuned into the their transmitter.The serial number on the TV / receipt is not the same as recorded by us.Obviously this is a case for the police as it is blatant theft but the owner could not cope with the stress of this so we are going to repair it for free. We will then donate it to charity as that was what the owner intended to do anyway.

I bought a tablet for my grandson for Christmas after going slowly up in price as advised from the member of staff who sold it to me stated that the dearer I go the better quality and also I?d be able to download everything I wanted to , but on Christmas Day when my grandson tried to do this nothing will down load. So I?ve taken it back to the store in Maidstone and been told no it won?t download as it?s too old but can take photos with it. Which isn?t what it was bought for it?s for a 9 year old. They said I can?t have my money back as it?s not faulty but it is it?s not fit for the purpose I was led to believe in the first place it?s an absolute disgrace . They have offered a credit note but what good is that they said I can buy a dearer one but what if that?s no good just another credit note of higher value . I went in seemed their advice to what I needed and was sold something of no use where is this good customer service it?s far from it

Had sold a few things at a good price for an exchange, seems a little unfortunate at how picky they are with vr headsets. For a 6 year old machine they tried shining a light into the lenses and picked on the tiniest marks it felt a bit silly. A major scratch or something you can see with the naked eye i would understand, but not that. (General wear and tear) over the course of 6 years, not to mention i purchased this headset from cex a month earlier and only used it three times, but found out my play space was too small.On a positive note, they were really helpful with an issue i was having with an item i purchased.

Went in just check on a few items. I was stunned on what they actually charge. I know they need to make a profit but they're extremely high priced. Here's an example I looked at Samsung s20 ultra. The price they were asking for a second hand phone , in good condition was £157 more expensive than if I had brought a refurbished phone from giff gaff which are classed as brand new and come with a longer warranty. Always check online guys.

I've been there on Sunday at 10:30 as that's the time they should have open and had to stay in the rain with my daughter because they open 10:40... It's unacceptable their behaviour. Trying to support shopping in store but from now on will only buy online!!!!

Purchase here multiple times, always friendly staff, answer all questions and if don?t know will go out their way to find an answerGood prices, gadgets come under warranty which is peace of mind as usually don?t get that 2nd hand
