Lodging in Maidstone, Kent

“We are staying here at the Black Horse as I compose this little bit of information for anyone thinking of staying here at the lovely Black Horse inn, well don't hesitate to book as it is a marvellous place to stay, the pub/ restaurant itself is warm, cosy and beautifully laid out with a number of great rooms for all occasions, they are clean and very inviting, the food is very good with an interesting and varied menu AND not pricey, also there are many outside tables for those sunny days, it has many rooms on site, ours has everything one could want and is very spacious, wi fi works immediately without any fuss, there are family rooms and again the Black Horse would cater for any occasion, they are VERY dog friendly, PLUS all the staff are kind, courteous and helpful, we have spoken to the owner on a few occasions and have to say he is a charming elderly man, (hope he reads this !!!).........SO A MASSIVE BIG THANK YOU TO ALL AT THE WONDERFUL BLACK HORSE FOR MAKING THIS A REALLY HAPPY TIME.......Richard, Lesley and Bertie...xxxx”

“Nice friendly pub with good food on offer. Very dog friendly but if that's not your thing there are dog free areas too. The surrounding area is lovely and great for a stroll.”

“Booked here because we had a family party 5 min walk up the road..checked in at 3pm it has a large car park and a petrol station with a small supermarket aswell next door...room was fine,double bed, bath shower, hair dryer,tv and the usual tea and coffee,there is a restaurant next door good selection of food and drinks also doubles for the breakfast restaurant in the morning extra £10 each but literally all you can eat and drink breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful,food arrived hot and was very tasty..there will no doubt be another family do so we will definitely stay her again”

“Only fault to find was the bedroom was extremely cold when I got there and instruction not explicit enough. Oce that was sorted it took over an hour before room really warm.Noteworthy details: Although properly connected too your wi. Fi. No phone reception at all.”

“Had an in store appt booked in the curtain dept today with Jake. Just want to say how amazing Jake was - so helpful, really listened to what I wanted and gave some great ideas and recommendations that I didn't have a clue about. But most of all his demeanour is something the managers at Dunelm should be very proud and grateful for ; on numerous occasions he was interrupted whilst going through my consult, a couple of people were even a little rude to him but he remained calm and helpful throughout to both me and them. I felt he clearly wanted to do his best and help customers as much as he could. The store was a little short of staff due to a meeting so he was doing the best he could in a really good way with limited staff for that period. A great young chap who I hope is recognised by his managers and team at the Maidstone Store. Thanks very much Jake!”
