Today I went into the store to get a a car battery charged and a very helpful young man by the name of Lewy helped me so much as I knew nothing and later helped me get my car started too. I was embarrassed but he made it so easy and gave me some great advice. Won?t be going anywhere else. Thanks again!

I needed a bulb for my car, they couldn?t look it up on the computer, I tried getting the bulb out outside the shop but I couldn?t, I tried for about 10 minutes, cut all my hand trying, I asked if anybody knew how to get the bulb out, but no one seemed to want to help me/ give me any advice! I was a lone female. I came away with no bulb and in tears! I felt humiliated!

Went back to Halfords today to change the wrong replacement they gave me last week, the young guy I spoke to was brilliant, courteous, professional and he listened, totally different from last time. He said he would call me when he had checked something out with a colleague, so I will wait for his call and let you know. Last week - I don't think the person who served me was listening, they gave me the wrong replacement part and now I have to go back and get it changed.

From arranging to fit new wiper blades, replacing number plates and arranging to have new tyres fitted at home, following the inevitable pothole mishap, their service has always been impeccable and timely.

I've had many great experiences at Halfords mainly purchasing bits for my car. motorcycle and my push bike. However recently I had a disaster with a failed battery. Where Halfords were not only open in the evening when other places were shut but that a really helpful customer serve representative named Reece that was able to quickly fetch me a battery that fitted within minutes and confidentaly fit it. Which was great as I was really stuck. This isn't the first time Reece has been of superior service and it won't be the last. Halfords if you are reading this I believe it's time to give Reece a pay rise. Thanks. KEEP BEING AWESOME REECE!

?we Fit service? when we feel like it?Had a flat battery on my Ford Kuga 2019 reg, couldn?t find a phone number listed to call and check if they could replace so got the car jump started and brought it here 2-3hrs before closing @ 8pm. After the guy flicked through a few pieces of paper under the desk I was told that unfortunately they couldn?t replace it as this model had start stop and would need to be taken directly to a Ford garage for them to reset the EMS after the battery is replaced otherwise it wouldn?t be drivable. If it was the 2012-2018 range they could have done it apparently. Annoying timing for us as we?ve got a week old baby now and no car was not ideal!Next day spoke to Setyres Tunbridge Wells as I?ve had my cars serviced there for years to see if they could do it? fitted me in, ordered the battery from their supplier which was delivered within a hour and installed it within all within a couple of hours of the initial call. Couldn?t fault it. Price was about £25 more expensive but you get what you pay for! Nothing needed resetting on the EMS, apparently Halfords just didn?t want to do it as it involved removing parts of the air filter to remove the battery. In hindsight I wouldn?t really trust Halfords to dismantle parts of the engine bay anyway!I now know I can?t rely on Halfords Tonbridge in emergency?s. It?s not the fact they couldn?t do it, it?s the fact they lied to me and advised it could only be done at the dealer, (the most expensive place possible)! If I had taken their advise I would still be without a car with a newborn baby waiting for an appointment at Ford! It?s a shame as I?ve had a battery and headlights changed on other cars/vans here with no fuss in the past.Latter checking of the Halfords website stated the ?we Fit? service was available on my model after inputting my reg, so it was a straight lie to to my face from the guy behind the desk. The initial wasted drive there could have also been avoided if there was a phone number listed to call the store and ask.

The guy who served us slightly restored our faith in Halfords but we only visited the store as we had no choice - can?t stand them and god help you if you need to talk to the useless customer service team !! Beware !?

Nice easy job picking my first bike in 10 years. the staff was very helpful and picked me a nice budget bike, didn't try to push me to spend more money. (Tonbridge branch) very positive experience.
