The Trafford health advocacy service, community advocacy service and peer support and self-advocacy group have been invaluable in supporting me to have my voice heard by local services. It's a shame that the funding has been cut for the community advocacy service because it is still much needed. Staff go above and beyond to accommodate service users in my experience. If they cannot support you, they will try to find a service that can. The support received for my family and I has been vital. I unreservedly recommend Advocacy Focus.

All very polite people, although have very little knowledge about disability and the effects on individuals when going through a complaint regarding NHS. When you raise your concern with the advocate supporting you. they look blank and confused by your concerns and just seem to dismiss them out right ironically, just like the NHS. It?s important to say maybe if we had been given another advocate, the experience may have been more Positive, but guess we will never know. Trust broken.

Carolina was really excellent! We recently had a workshop arranged by our employer and it was really great. I think we should have more of these sessions. Carolina was very honest and open, non-judgemental and extremely easy to listen to/keep engage with the topic. It really normalises mental health (and so it should be) and it made me feel so much better and happier after having this session. There were some very useful tips and important comments/phrases in relation to supporting each other and what it means to truly listen to someone which I hope to remember to not only help others but also to help myself

Carolina and John delivered a well run and interesting course. I learnt a lot in what was an interactive, yet safe, environment. I would recommend this course for anyone, particularly those who deal with vulnerable people in their work..in fact I have recommended it already to the rest of my team.

I recently had contact with Advocacy Focus in regards to the RPR position for a relative who is subject to Dols. This person was appointed to my relatives case and contacted me to discuss. I found this lady to be such a wonderful person to speak to, very attentive, and made me feel so much more at ease about the whole situation. I can't thank her enough. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, any questions I had were answered in depth and helped me and my family a great deal. Highly recommended!

I had a long, detailed and informative chat with Advocacy Focus with regard to my role as a Relevant Persons Representative (RPR) for a person who is subject to a DOLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards). Whilst it was decided that at present I do not require support from the Advocacy service, it was good to know that support in the future would be available if required. From this conversation, I gained some useful knowledge about my rights as an RPR that I was previously unaware of. Thank you.

I recently attended a Youth MHFA course with you guys and just wanted to say I was so impressed by this course!! The content was great, really informative and has actually helped me with a recent situation where a close family member has really needed the support. The course trainers really got the message across in an engaging and even fun way, making a difficult topic easy to digest. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get trained in MHFA! Thank you :)

They may be good for all I know but their remit in Trafford is very limited. Everytime I inquire for someone I get fobbed off.
