Why does it take so long to process a simple prescription at Blackurn hospital, my sons appointment was at 9am was in and out about 20 mins, The prescription was forward to the hospital pharmacy it?s is 12.30pm and I am still waiting for medication.( an inhaler)Urgent request to hospital management please sort this out , there are elderly patients here some on wheel chairs who are sat idle for over 3 hours waiting for medication, this is ridiculous, absolutely appalling services.

I do appreciate the care of the staff and how busy things are. Just wish someone in A&E would pick up the phone to give me an update on my wife. On hold for 25 minutes now...No reception on my wife's phone.

This hospital is amazing . I had a heart attack on the 29th of december . The paramedic was not good he told me i was having a panic attack after he sat at the side of the road with me for an hour . My family got more and more worried . He drove me to the hospital no flashing lights no urgency just taking his time.I told him i had several heart attacks 8 stents and four balloons . He didnt listen . I thought i was dying no empathy what so ever . When i got to blackburn hospital there was 178 people waiting in a.and e. But i thought thank god after a 23 hour wait i was taken to ccu after it was confirmed i was having a bad heart attack . what amazing care from each and every nurse and doctor . Leo ,Dill Julie and all the others on ccu were amazing . I was then moved to ward 18 oh my gosh these people are angels on this earth . I was operated on katie natasha in theatre cath lab wow you two desrve awards . MR macdonald what a man he saved my life . But the day after whilst on the ward i suffered a stroke . The care i can not remember for two days . But every doctor nurse and stroke team was at my side night and day . These angels were covering everything as the junior doctors were on strike . These people have families to go home to but they didnt leave they stayed and saved me and many others . As i was in a and e people were leaving after shouting they had been there hours . To me if you can shout and leave you shouldnt even be there in the first place and please show some respect . what people have forgotten the government has closed four a and e department in lancashire so blackburn is dealing with the whole lot from four different counties . I dont care that my wait was long because i knew i was surrounded by angels who would fight to save my life . Thank you my blackburn hospital angels i know when i am there i am in good hands . These people deserve medals and all the help they can get . what if blackburn a and e closed we would all be up the creak without a paddle . God bless you all and thank you . i would not be here if you were not there .

My wife has been having a series of injections into her eye since July, the staff are very efficient and friendly. Parking is free for disability badge holders, just show a photo of the badge at the pay desk. Cannot fault the waiting time or treatment.

The most chaotic, unprofessional, disorganised hospital ever to exist.Never in my life have I recieved such poor duty of care as what I experienced from the Surgical Ambulatory Unit. When called to chase what was happening, I was greeted with a hostile attitude and no empathetic resolutionI also love breathing in tonnes of 2nd hand smoke filled air when walking into the reception.Absolute joke of a place.

Woman behind desk didn?t look like she wanted to be there, was too busy looking me up and down with contempt.. triage ?nurse? was rude, and basically said you know you shouldn?t be here, despite 111 advising I should go as a matter of urgency. Naff..

So I was admitted to the Royal Blackburn Hospital on the 24th December at 6am with Chest pains straight in then had bloods and heart monitor on ,then waiting in room for one hour ,but some people arrived the day before and are still waiting . Anyway I can't complain because I was in the heart unit before 8am . And I was well looked after by the staff , all Christmas I was in and the nurses ,doctors , not forgetting the brew trolley couldn't do enough for you ,let's not forget they give up their Christmas for you , the Hospital Food was infact really good Christmas Lunch And Dinner no complaints, but some of the abuse the staff have to put up with his unbelievable really ungrateful people. On my last day I had to wait for my paperwork and tabs so from 10am until 7pm I just sat on my chair waiting, the were very busy in the pharmacy but it's not good waiting while someone could have had my bed instead of waiting for hours in or on the corridors down stairs. Also mental health patients in and homeless people in can't be released until sorted out with something outside , so this is the problem with the beds , I do feel sorry for the staff because people take it out on them but it's actually the system that's wrong , not a case of not enough money but the system, all the staff made my stay great thanks to you all , the system needs sorting out . Just another thing the drunken people that come into this Hospital men and even more women being sick ,shouting and screaming at the staff unbelievable they should be stopped at the doors and not let in self inflicted. That's another reason no beds. Anyway like I said the staff were fantastic.

Following an alarming episode at home, thought at first to be a stroke, the paramedics were called. Absolutely excellent, prompt service by the paramedics and the Ambulatory dept in the ED were first class, nurses, Doctors, tea ladies, cleaner etc. What a credit they are and I think they have fixed my problem. Thank you and a Happy Christmas.
