Texaco - Kay Kitchens Service Station is close to Burnley town centre, it has reasonably good facilities including a Spar, Subway, Greggs and Amazon Hub lockers. It is pretty expensive for fuel and even food, with the Subway here costing more than I've ever experienced before for extras (such as double meat or an extra filling) The Spar shop is okay, the stock is a little limited and prices are a tad expensive, as you'd expect from a place like this. I like the separate parking area which makes it easy if you don't want to buy fuel, and instead, want to just go into the shop or access one of the food businesses or Amazon Lockers, compared to other petrol stations which don't really have designated areas. 3* - Average service station, I wouldn't come here if I had much of a choice but it is OK, and useful in its' town centre location.

Cheaper fuel at other stations

Very pricey but staff said when commented upon "that's the price you pay for 24hr convenience." Supermarkets don't rip you off for a bottle of wine just because it's midnight! Management should make staff wear Dick Turpin style face masks! Highway robbery is what it felt like & no I'm not interested in your nearly out of date items for a £1!!!!

If you're anything like me and can remember a time when you could gaily run through a wheat field with your village priest without your parents wanting to phone Operation Yewtree, then you can probably also remember a time before the dreaded 'upsell'. This is where you buy a product or service and the business tries to squeeze just a little more money from you than they already have. I used to hate the idea of upselling, but then I discovered Trafalgar Street Texaco fuel station, Burnley. I ask you, where else in the World can you buy fuel AND at the same time be offered a box of limited edition cool mint Matchmakers for just £1? I gained a great deal of pleasure from purchasing the Matchmakers, not least because they are mourishly magnificent but also because I felt I made the assistant's day just a little bit better by purchasing them. I found the staff in this fuel station are lovely; very pleasant with splendid product knowledge (be warned if you're on Slimming World 1 single Matchmaker is 1/15th of your daily syn allowance) and the point of sale in store is both accurate and colourful. So, in summation, is Trafalgar Street Texaco fuel station Burnley the place for you? Well, if you want fuel or something from a convenience store then I would suggest 'yes', but if you're looking to purchase white goods or a 2008 Land Rover Discovery then 'no'. Just be warned, if you're purchasing using a loyalty card then points are awarded for every litre you put in your car, and not every pound. If you spend £20 on fuel and put 17.55 litres in your car then you have just put 0.55 litres in your car for no reward...it would be better to spend a little less and get full points. I will be back.
