Curry taste like metal I could taste the pan it was cooked in, wasn't asked once if everything is alright. Communication was bare at best. End up throwing up after. I won't be going back.

The Usha Restaurant restaurant usually does a great sunday buffet to takeaway for a very generous price and I've ordered quite frequently given how close I live to it and can go and pick it up, sometimes having a pint at the bar.I ordered what I usually order (chicken tikka madras) and a side of massala sauce for my wife, however, there was a mix up in the order (which I accept can happen) and I ended up with a chicken tikka massala as well.I have a severe nut allergy and i've avoided chicken tikka massala's all my life because I know they are usually made with almonds. I rang Usha back after bringing my curry home and he confirmed he had wrote down a chicken tikka massala and a massala sauce, but added "you ordered this, I took your order". I confirmed I didn't because I know it usually has nuts in it and they confirmed theirs did but the person taking my order refused to apologise and reluctantly said "we will make you a madras, come down and get it". I could've died.I believe integrity goes a long way in business, it shows you are human and want to do the right thing and I would've accepted an apology and made sure I asked them to read back my order the next time I would've gone for a curry however, blaming customers for mistakes they have made is unacceptable unfortunately.I've previously left reviews about them using the same knife for cutting cake with and without nuts in - there is clearly a lack of care here and it will not be long before someone dies as a result. We will no longer be visiting this place and warn others to consider their allergies before visitingDietary restrictions: They don't seem to care about them!

We managed to finally book a table and the staff were friendly and welcoming, I ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious, full of flavour. Reasonable prices only downside is when booking you need to be first come first served as this place gets really busy and it's like trying to get the crown jewels but once you do manage to get booked in it is worth it. Defo be back what amazing curries they have.

Their 'medium' curries tend to be slightly on the hot side I found, but are still nice. It prompted next time to get a mild one from the Chef Specialities, a chicken or lamb dish (the name of the dish escape a me - I went for lamb) which is made with cream, mangos, nuts. Honestly, probably the best curry I've enjoyed in a very long time. I'll be coming back more often.

Went on Sunday for the buffet, 5 adults and one child. Food was standard, very fast and food did taste alright. It?s just a shame with the price we paid for the meal, we have all been poorly since eating the food.

We came for the so called Sunday buffet, which is actually a 4 course meal consisting of a tiny starter (pictured) served with no effort and plated up carelessly. Thinking this was a buffet, we asked for some more poppadoms however the rude waiter told us we'd be full enough once finished. The main course was better than expected, but the standard was brought back down after the shop bought dessert (tasteless).Overall the staff we encountered were rude and very rushed to get you both in and out. I do not recommend Usha Burnley.

Excellent service on 5th October 2023. Staff were very welcoming. Outstanding food at a good price. No complaints whatsoever and i am quite fussy. Haven?t been for a couple of years and i would say it has greatly improved. There were 8 of us and everyone enjoyed all courses.

Not one to knock local businesses but they need improve, eaten here many times over the years and always thought it was Ok for the money . Went today and the service was very slow . From being seated the popodoms and chutneys were served within 10 minutes but they were soft not crispy. We then waited over 30 minutes and weren't even given a menu we had to ask. . When the set menu staters arrived they were but Ok nothing special . Eventually the main meal arrived 1.5 hours after sitting down. I told the family we were leaving in 5 minutes if the food didnt arrive. It just made it in time, by this time I had lost my appetite. The food was ok ,not fine dining, the chicken typical takeaway chicken chunks in the curry. Soft drinks didnt taste like Coke or Pepsi more like a poor carbonated cordial made from syrup. Sorry Usha you need to improve, it was my go to curry house in Burnley it's stating to look tatty , ripped wall paper in the toilets , the laminated floor in the main restaurant was slippy. Reception area with the sofas looking tired.

Having a break near Burnley and looking for a midweek curry, I thought I would seek local knowledge. The result was Usha being suggested to us by our hotel's receptionist. To be honest it doesn't look very promising from the outside but their large car park was almost full. Having taken the plunge it became apparent that they had a Wednesday night deal which had brought in a lot of customers. It was busy and reckon the kitchen and staff had their hands full. Despite this, the service was efficient and the timing excellent. There was nothing wrong with the food although the wife found the sheekh kebab too hot and the balti on her chilli limit. I had no problem although the pathia was different to what I am used to. The chicken was a bit dry but wonder if this was a result of catering for the masses. There was nothing wrong with the sides. Overall we had a good night here at a very competitive price, taking your own alcohol is an additional bonus.
