We stayed over on a Saturday night after our barge trip on the Leeds Liverpool canal. The room was bright and spotless with everything you would require. The person who checked us in was so friendly and could not do enough for us The breakfast was superb quality and again great service, we would highly recommend the Farm if you need to stay in the area.

We were regular visitors to The Farm for lunch when we lived in the area, but had never stayed there so on a recent trip back to Southport we decided to book into The Farm. We are so glad we did.The staff were very welcoming and very flexible about an early check in. Our room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. We shall stay again.

Needed a place to stay as my train(s) to Manchester were cancelled. I got the big room. Really clean, comfortable. A great location. A fantastic breakfast as well. I don't eat a lot of red meat, but I went for the bacon and sausage etc....very very good. Cooked to order. Not greasy. A nice walk via the canal too. It is rural but great family, great room, great food. I paid £60 for the B and B and that is a bargain. Highly recommended.

Our walking group celebrated Christmas with a walk to Martin Mere followed by afternoon tea. Our meals were presented beautifully in takeaway containers, with dietary requirements catered for. Superbly organised and served by friendly helpful people. Thank you so much

This place is not only a farm shop but also has rooms to stay in overnight and a full English breakfast is included in the price. Our bed was so comfy, it was an effort to get up the next morning. The English breakfast included free range eggs, was cooked to order and everything was hot on a heated plate. It was marvellous. The staff were such nice people; very chatty and helpful. In particular, Tia made us feel very welcome and was interested in our days' excursions. The products in the farm shop were very varied and I couldn't resist buying many locally produced items.

We found this location by accident we had camping gear to test out before going away to Wales on a camping trip. I took my 4 year old daughter and wife the fact there are chickens roaming around makes it that little bit special for kids. There is also other animals in the field that are very tame. It?s well worth a visit plus the food is great. I think if they had the restaurant/ tea rooms open at night with a bring your own booze policy and some sort of entertainment they would mate more money but as it?s a working farm it might bring the wrong type of audience. All in all we will be coming back the facilities are great the park is good to. The £5 electricity lasted the weekend and we had the radio on for most of the weekend and charging tablets and phones.

A perfect one-night stopover on the way to a family get-together. A clean and comfortable room for the night with a decent shower, and a truly delicious Full English breakfast with good coffee. Would be happy to come for longer with small children as the location is ideal. Unfortunately, with the bedroom window open on a warm night, the all-night hum from an air-conditioning or cooler cabinet unit was very noticeable in such a quiet rural spot.

My Parents have eaten here for many years, and following their rave reviews I decided to try it. It is truly a delightful cafe decorated beautifully with lovely pictures by talented local artists hanging on the walls. The waitress was very charming (Tia) and although very busy she didn?t make us feel hurried, making time for a chat whilst ordering. The food was indeed excellent, I had the full English and my Latte was very good. Well done for an all around great experience ideal for taking my mum out for breakfast. My biggest surprise considering how out of the way the farm was, is how busy it is, a testament to the lovely food and delightful staff. Thanks Rob

Stayed for one night. Very comfortable room with good amenities. Everything clean and tidy. There were a couple of points to note that would have turned by rating into Excellent. For Room 1 - the shower head is clogged with limescale - so only half the nozzles working which is pretty poor in my view. The bathroom needs someone to go around with a bit of filler or caulk to fill in the gaps. Given the small number of rooms - it still felt a bit impersonal for me - there was no particularly warm welcome and nobody asked me for any feedback on my stay for example. All in all though it does what it says on the tin. Very convenient for Southport, clean and the breakfast was nice too.
