You know what you're getting with a Travelodge. Very comfy beds, nice & warm and quiet location. Also excellent value for money. Only one thing - I always think the lighting could be better as it's a bit dull and depressing. Pub/restaurant next door which we didn't have time to use.

Great halfway stop just off the M6, rooms are spacious but old and need a refurb.Strong smell of cannabis in the room and hallway, along with a few people smoking it outside in carpark, not the best startStaff very helpful and friendlyRooms: Clean but need some TLC

If want anything done or ask a question or even just a friendly chat or smile upon arrival, deal with the guy who works nights. This man is a ledgend goes above and beyond what you require, does his job very well!.To the manager-Remove that miserable old sad sack of a woman who sits there between 4-6. Hide her on night and stick him there, not her!

Comfortable rooms and helping staff. Not in the centre but outskirts. 24 hours Petrol station outside where you can get most of the stuff from

Stop over on way home from Scotland. Found a very good , if pretty expensive, Cantonese restaurant nearby. No a/c in room and unable to open windows very far , on an extremely humid and stuffy evening.

Cheap and cheerful. All travelodge hotels need a bit of a revamp. There was a strong smell of smoke in the room but we were too tired to go and complain. Staff were friendly.Rooms: Smell of smoke in the room.

I would like to thank Andy on reception last night. I am diabetic and my blood sugar was going very low (hypo) so went down to the vending machine to get some sugar sweets to bring my sugar level up again but could not get the vending machine to work so Andy kindly gave me 2 of his own snacks he had for his shift through the night which helped me get my blood sugar up -- Thank you Andy

It's okay for an overnight stay or if you're working away but it is miles away from a decent pub, I'd recommend going to the Ley inn about a 5 mins drive away or 15/20 mins walk away. And the beer garden is lovely and sunny.Rooms: Could do with a makeover.Nearby activities: There is a Shell garage opposite, a pub that does pizzas next door but is a little bit expensive, there is a Lidl and a Asda up near the roundabout, and the Ley inn is a great place for a drink and a meal, 5 mins drive away or 15/20 min walk away.

Staff are lovely as always. The room itself was clean and as expected. The bathroom was a bit grotty, watermarks on taps and bath top was dirty/stained (not sure which) .£100 for the night felt a bit much but I was visiting my daughter so worth it for that.

Overall clean , decent rooms and friendly staff . A few miles from the M6 but if you are looking for a fair priced room for a night, it fits the bill. Really nice pub/ restaurant next door.

Exactly what you expect from a Travelodge, clean and comfortable and convenient. Not a nice location but fairly handy for the motorway.
