Just participated in the 50p hot drink incentive, I went with 2 other friends and all of our drinks were grim. My hot chocolate was blander than bread and butter, the white hot chocolate my friend ordered was basically golden syrup and the toffee spiced hot chocolate, which was also ordered was straight cinnamon powder. It appears the staff are making the most of the 50p incentive and are now proceeding to make very bad drinks. Also, I normally find the baristas just sat around which is very unprofessional and, considering we are in a pandemic, probably not the best thing to be doing.

Walked past the cafe to find all the staff members sitting on chairs and eating inside the cafe. As soon as they saw the customers walking in, they quickly went back to the counter. Just wondering about the hygiene in this pandemic???? Didn't want to buy anything from this unhygienic place !!

Nice space to sit for a coffee or snack at Lancaster University. The people who work there are always very polite and friendly.

I just had to write this review. I went in for peppermint tea this morning and I was surprised to be served tea in a tall latte cup with the bag in instead of being in the tea pot. When I asked for another cup the staff gave me a smaller latte cup, I had to explicitly ask for a coffee cup which took them a while to find a clean one! Never experienced this before but totally worth mentioning.

The Costa Coffee on Lancaster campus is a friendly and warm environment which you can use to study in, read, write or catch up with others. The service tends to be good, although sometimes it can be a bit slow. This does not however detract from the experience, as far as Costas go, it's definitely a good choice.

Good coffee, nice staff! However, sometimes very busy so you might have to wait for a while to get a table if you want to stay in. In this case, tables are often dirty and covered with what customers before you left. 5 stars if you get your coffee to go.
