Great flat white! 4 out of 5 flat whites I get are too milky, not as the FW was designed. This one I could taste the coffee and the milk. Lovely people running the Post Office too. Very cheerful and welcoming.

A great little cafe ,well presented, friendly owners and a good selection to choose from.We had the healthy option of cake and ice creams ? just a 20min walk from parkdean limefitt which was easy even for small children. At the owners recommendation we continued 10 mins further up the path to a the viewing point, stunning. Definitely worth a visit.

Great coffee, delicious tea loaf, friendly service and beautiful local artwork on the walls: a perfect place to stop off. They also sell food such as bread, pasta, soup etc, useful for campers.

Very friendly and welcoming tea room with amazing homemade cakes, easily some of the best carrot cake I have ever had. Ice cream and milkshakes also served. Whether you are local to the area or travel to the Lakes: this team room is exactly why you should be supporting local businesses.

We had a busy morning and wanted a relaxing sit down and tea and sandwiches. The cafe gave us exactly what we wanted. It was reasonably priced and very friendly.

This cafe sits at an opportune, idyllic, point where delightful footpaths and meandering 'B' roads meet. There is a log fire indoors during chilly weather and outdoor seating and a grassy bank available for use during habitually warm and sunny days. The views from this cafe are spectecular. The food served here is home made, prepared to order, and varied and unpretentious and intended to satisfy an appetite while tickling the taste buds. Normal, indoor, seating arrangements allow for, perhaps, a dozen or so, persons; with modest weather protection provided by parasols for a further half-dozen, outdoors. Recent Covid pandemic precautions have reduced the indoor seating at times and, inexplicably, seem to have displaced the supply of youthfull, part-time, serving-staff, so that the proprietors have often been operating without extra help. The clientele is cyclical and it is quite usual to have the place to oneself upon arrival; and find the place inundated when one comes to depart (and visa versa.) If one is lucky, one may find a local sat at the small table just inside the door. If so, then I recommend making their acquaintance and learning something about Troutbeck during your visit. In return, one wi?l find them polite and attentive and, generally, optimistic. Lamb selling prices are 'up' at the moment.

Just to advise that there are two places in this area called Troutbeck. The one with the tearoom is down near Ambleside and Windermere. The other is a small hamlet just off the A66 west of Penrith and, other than a few cottages and farms, there?s nothing else there!

Stopped here for lunch - the owners were lovely and friendly, the tea room feels homely and the food was fresh and delicious. Hot chocolate and coffee were also very good. Nice little shop as well, selling some basics and some souvenirs.

Have been in before and it was delightful. Unfortunately it seems to be closed much of the time now, hence 3 stars

Have visited this cafe on numerous occasions, always a friendly atmosphere, good service and great food. They have a nice little shop selling thoughtful essentials for holidaymakers and gorgeous cakes. The owner is always very helpful when it comes to assisting with walking routes and advice. There is a lovely seating area outside where you can enjoy views and sunshine ? Hopefully will be back again soon
