Went for a short stay. Hotel great and on the promenade and beach. Good location short walk to festival market and Eric Morecambe statue and some great dog friendly pubs. The hotel is dog friendly for small/medium dogs. We had a family room which was great. Pity the view out of the rear window wasn't great but appreciate you can't do much about it. Good car park with security cameras. Staff were great and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice for cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, croissant and cooked breakfast and particularly liked the choices of fried egg or scrambled or omelette. Would stay again and would recommend.

Stayed in a twin room, it's was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy with a reminder to enter car registration for car park. We had room only so can't comment on breakfast but this was offered to us at an extra cost. Our only problems, albeit slight, were we could hear people moving around in the hallway and in the room above and the shower didn't have much power. Bonus was there's a bath. The hotel itself was very clean with beautiful period features. Will definitely return if we go to Morecambe

We stayed here while sorting out some family business, I chose the Clarendon because of the competitive price and my Grandpa worked here in the 40's and 50's when Morecambe was very popular, sad to say this is now not the case, the hotel suited our needs and a little bit of nostalgia staying in the area I grew up in, staff were lovely sadly this will be my last visit to my home town

It was very nice to stay at the Clarendon hotel. Both train station and the bus stop is convenient distance. No worry to get lost.Building was historic but beautifully cozy and tidy. This fits my preference so I was very comfortable. It stands at beachfront so you can take a walk alongside the beach. As the day I stayed was nice and sunny, so I enjoyed the spectacular sunset viewThe front office agents were very supportive and courteous. The supermarket is only 5minute walk.Overall,I will definitely come back whenever I had any opportunity to visit Lancaster again.

Would give 0 stars if that was an option, originally planned to stay 2 nights with my girlfriend, left after the first night because:Someone in next room was smoking all night, this smell of smoke was coming through my bathroom vent had to put a shower cap on the vent which stopped the smell of smoke.Fireworks were set off outside the hotel for 10 minutes at 2am, will give the hotel the benefit of the doubt on this as they can't do anything to stop idiots outside.Cleaner at 6.30am in morning was outside the room talking to someone on loudspeaker at the top of her voice for 30 mins. Was in room 28 which is outside the lift so noisy everytime someone came out and the floorboards are crazy as anything.Minimal staff on reception and no one at the check in desk when I went down at 12am to complain.Next morning the woman working there was really nice however the hotel needs more staff which is no fault of her own. Am awaiting a refund for the second night, also they take your bank card detials at reception on arrival which is dubious. Had to cancel the card due to this.Would definitely avoid.

On arrival I didn't think the welcome on reception was particularly friendly and was told to keep our bags in the car due to early arrival. The room was a very poor paint finish and various mould spots around the apartment. Using the bar not a good experience as the staff member didn't know how to pour a pint of Guinness and the TV didn't work not ideal with young children after a busy day.
