Took my glasses to get tightened and they cracked the arm of the glasses when doing this. they also bent the glasses so it it gave me a fishbowl effect leaving me to suffer with headaches and nausea. When I went back the next day to ask them to fix it they refused and said as the arm was cracked they were unable to do anything. I took the glasses to the Blackburn branch who straightened the glasses and tightened them for me as well as fitting me in for an eye test straight away. Blackburn branch explained as a short sighted person my glasses shouldnt have been bent in this way as it affects my lenses.

Having only ever had to wear one pair of glasses, recently I found I needed reading and distance separately, optician discussed varifocals which i was nervous about, but went for it after being told I can have them on a 3 month trial, any problems in that time and they would take them back and switch for 2 separate pairs, varifocals now worn for a few weeks and I'm very happy with them. Staff were all friendly and really helpful.

I came into the store on Sunday morning 25th June for a quick tune up of my glasses to be greeted and served by a young looking colleague i think was called Connor, polite, confident and quick with job I was really pleased with the service, it always makes a difference when staff are like this.

Wrong prescription and they pressurise you to take it or blame each other for the problem. This place is a mess, needs new management and new opticians.

I was struggling today with mobility issues and I went for an eye test today. The staff were incredible. Genuinely amazing customer service and the lad who did my eye test was incredible. Thanks guys.

Terrible experience with this optician.They couldn?t meet the appointment time so waited approximately 30 minutes.Optician took all but 5 mins for an eye test - presumably to ?catch-up? with the queue. I also wasn?t given the opportunity to discuss my eye health and OCT test as I was scurried away as soon as the test was completed.The optician provided an incorrect prescription, resulting in severe headaches. This was confirmed by an alternative eye-test I took elsewhere.Discussed this with the store manager, as I didn?t want anyone else to suffer the same head aches. Manager was avoiding taking any responsibility. Blamed it as ?incorrect lenses? but we checked and they were cut as prescribed. Didn?t offer to make any amends to their processes and work flow to remedy this in future. They really need some training in customer service.Was begrudgingly given a refund for the eye test (but not the OCT test). Was also given a 50% off voucher for another pair of glasses, not that impressed as that is essentially similar to their buy one get one free offer.They use a machine that estimates your prescription by you focussing on a picture of a hot air balloon - and that was essentially given as my actual prescription. I would advise to visit a proper optician that takes time discuss your eye health, and uses the manual approach to testing your eyes with the funny glasses and separate lenses.

Spec savers has always satisfied my requirements in terms of new glasses and prescription sunglasses. There are a wide choice of frames and the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.

Turned up for the appointment and staff said nothing on the system and call centre must have booked us in at different branch. What a joke. We had to bring disabled baby all the way to the store and staff did not even consider the situation. Worst customer service ever.

I find it very difficult to choose frames that suit my face shape. However, today I had help from a young man called Muhammad and another young lady who wore a head scarf (sorry didn't get her name). They were both very patient and helpful. They both had excellent knowledge about the different lenses and frames. The other staff were also very polite and professional. Thank you so much for an excellent service.

Wow. I loved my Liverpool branch but I wouldn?t enter this store again. I found my prescription when I got home and it was signed and in date. Refused a contact lens check today

Booked a contact lens eye check as I was unable to buy contacts online like I usually do. I was turned away as I did not have a current signed script to present to staff. Found it now am home but wouldn?t return to the store again.
