Early start and early breakfast - fast and polite service with a decent breakfast to boot. Love the building character.

A great place for the city centre. You can walk in and get a meal with a drink at a reasonable price. Toilets downstairs, not sure if there is a lift. Grab a coffee and keep the refills coming.

That was the best full English breakfast I've had since Gary Wilmot's wedding.Minor criticism, more distance between the egg and the beans. I may want to mix them but that's my decision. Use the sausage as a breakwater.

The building was interesting but somebody disabled would have no chance of getting down all those stairs to the toilets. The food was poor, steak and kidney pudding just like a small upside down pie with few, gristly bits of bad meat inside and the whole, very small, plateful like something you could produce on a campfire. The apple crumble and custard was equally poor and well worth avoiding. The best bit was the refillable hot drink. According to the girl who brought our food, there was salt and condiments "over there", waved in the general direction of the other side of the room. The service was quite fast though.

TV on far to loud, food came out missing items, mushroom literally raw, 1 coffee machine out of order, the other made coffee like dish water.

Stunning building and such a nice place to relax and eat in. I'm glad they've retained a lot of the original features and historical aspects of the former Bank. It's an interesting and quirky place to say the least. No problems at all with the food or drinks. Service was great as well and toilets were spotless.Parking: We got the Park and Ride into the City Centre but due to the location of this Wetherspoon's you ideally need to park up and walk to it.

What can say " it's a wetherspoons " large place with over 80 tables . Older members of the public during the day. Younger people during the evenings and weekends.

Table 39.. 6/7/23.. there was a bit of a faffle when ordering ? order 2 large mixed grills, and 2 lots of drinks.. I noticed I?d only been charged for drinks, so I went to the bar, was told no mixed grill being served as they weren?t prepped, so I didn?t think anything .. then the lovely waitress came with our drinks.. 2 pints of Guinness and 2 large glasses of wine, Keith told the waitress what had happened, she said leave it with her, then came back and said mixed grill now prepped and if I wanted to re order, I needed to go to bar and speak with the manager, all sorted, she even bade sure we wasn?t out of pickle at all.. mealwsx lovely pipping hot.. I never usually have anything good to say about the tellers so credit where it?s due, Brilluant service and food was ok..

I attempted to order at the bar a meal from the menu plus an alcoholic drink for approximately £8.60 which was a 5 ounce Wiltshire gammon plus two fried eggs and some chips. What I received for approximately £9.60 was a 5 ounce Wiltshire gammon with one fried egg a small portion of chips and a cooked large half tomato and a large mushroom plus a generous amount of garden peas. I have say though everything that I ate was of a high standard and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. If I had paid a lot more for this meal I would still have thought it was great. The beer was also very nice it is always a bit of a lucky dip for me with the large range of beers always on offer at Wetherspoon pubs. The toilets and tables were also very well maintained. I would have awarded the service five stars but for the meal and price not being exactly what I had in mind and I also had to find my own sauces and seasonings tucked way in a corner of this large establishment. It was not easy to award marks for atmosphere because there is no music on and it was very quiet, safe and orderlyVegetarian options: I am fairly sure there are vegetarian options on the menu.Kid-friendliness: There always seems to be plenty of children in the popular Wetherspoon pubs so they must be welcome.Parking: Tn my knowledge there is not any parking available because it is situated on the main road but there quite a few cheap car parks nearby.

So went here for breakfast one day. I'm gluten free. Asked at the counter what options were gluten free on the menu? Was told to go and check on the computer which was situated over in the corner which was like a McDonald's touch screen type thing. So I'll then have to put in that it was the breakfast menu. So that's what I am, what allergies I had and then it gave me all the options that I could pick from. There wasn't many to be quite honest. I was quite shocked. There was no option of gluten-free bread which was really disappointing and I ended up choosing bacon, mushrooms and scrambled egg. These all have to be bought as individual items. It didn't come as a as a breakfast as such because I was picking what was actually available for me to eat and so that and a coffee which obviously then is unlimited came to £5.67 which was quite dear. Actually because the mushrooms work the best, the bacon severely overcooked Not bad, just overcooked so really quite leathery and scrambled eggs were good. Nice! Know nice flavor consistency. Only saving Grace was. I ended up getting three coffees which sort of recoups. A bit of my money spent on a pretty poor breakfast. Probably won't go back to try a breakfast again. I did eat with friends there. They had various different breakfasts. Similar comments came up that the mushrooms weren't the best. The eggs were a little bit sloppy and. Staff semi-pleasant but to be honest probably could have been a little bit nicer and made me feel quite separate to the group of people. I was within having to go and stand over in a corner. I'm really computer screen to find out what I could eat for my allergies because the menu wasn't satisfactory enough to be able to tell me what was or wasn't gluten-free so pretty poor if you're eating gluten-free at this restaurant really not the best.

Ordered two drinks and upon them bringing them to the table we provided valid in date ID as requested but one of us was refused their drink and had the drink taken away and not refunded even after we were told that no refund will be given to us for the drink so we asked if we could keep it but the person who?s ID was accepted to drink it they still continued to remove it from the table. Ordered food as well, food came bitesize piece of cookie dough and apple crumble which the custard was still frozen. Told the manager came back with a new one and was still frozen. Over all poor management and poor communication from staff.

Lovely food and very cheap. In a good location. Could do with a bit of freshen up
