Thorough eye test. Very pleasant approachable knowledgeable staff who made me feel welcome. Was left alone to try on as many glasses as needed, which i prefer as I find being watched a bit stressful

What an experience.I collected my glasses on the 7th of March. I mentioned how I was experiencing headaches. The person who served me started to fill out a triage form. They then were advised to tell me to go to A&E immediately. I started to cry but I was told not to cry. That I had to go right away, she exclaimed all this. I got to A&E turns out I had tension/stress headaches.Bare in mind this was in March. The following weekend I went to A&E in the middle of the night, because I had a panic attack because they convinced me that i had something seriously wrong with me based on the staff member's reaction. I get a call saying my second pair of glasses are ready and went to collect them. I had heart palpitations just by going into this branch. The person who served me said "it was procedure what we did,".I have since been diagnosed with Health & Anxiety disorder. I fear for my life every day now, scared that I have something wrong with me. Something that people experience on a day to day. I now have frequent panic attacks because of this one experience. And all because it was procedure. I have had three eye tests in the space of four months because of this one experience. I am not the same and Vision Express has destroyed my mental health and life. I put in a complaint, the outcome was that they would deliver better training. I now have a disorder where there are days I have to take a deep breath just to leave our house. I have to wear sunglasses and stare at the ground when walking to reduce the possibility of having a panic attack.Please, for the sake of your mental health. Avoid this branch. My life is never going to be the same.

I have been going to specsavers for 20 years, this time I decided to go to vision express for an eye test.I found that the staff were not as friendly or welcoming as specsavers,The eye test went well.I then decided to choose glasses.Picked my glasses.Then there was a complication with prices and paying for the glasses I was told a cheaper price, then was made to pay £50 more because of a staff error.At specsavers they properly check if the glasses suit you and if they are the right measurements behind the ears etc but at vision express they did not check.The glasses came quickly within 2 days.I went to collect and it was quick but unlike specsavers they didn't check measurements or anything again.I would only go back to replace my lenses.

The optometrist that dealt with me was Fatimah Suleman. She was great as she was replying to all my questions. Also Nazmunnisa P was very helpful in helping ordering the new lenses.

Wry good experience so far at Preston branch. All staff have been really helpful and informative. Glasses not quite right first time round and everyone has worked really hard to make sure they get sorted!

Visited today, my daughters eye test was good however I was a little shocked to be asked if I wanted to pay to have her lenses thinned down - she barely has a prescription.My test and experience was different. I was asked if I wanted to pay £10 for an extra eye scan, wasn't saved and was pointless. Initial tests weren't saved and had to be redone. The staff couldn't scan my glasses due to prism that was prescribed by VE. Was so disorganised. Eye test didn't feel thorough and I felt dismissed when I said I was struggling with PC distance - get varifocals was a flippant comment made.Choice of frames was very limited, all round styles unless you wanted a supra frame which is not suitable for my prescription, nothing chunky to hide lens edges. It's a good job I knew about that as staff couldn't be bothered to talk or help find anything. I said frames were a poor choice and literally was told "ok". Nobody discussed varifocal lenses and forgot about a field of vision test that optom asked for until I was about to leave. Not one attempt to discuss what I wanted from floor staff.Left the store and was telephoned to come back as they forgot to get my daughters forms signed.Bit of a poor experience really, not what I expected and with an odd prescription I had absolutely no confidence in any part of the shop. Going elsewhere after 15+ years of going to VE.

Absolutely fantastic customer service, having a few anxiety issues was dreading going for an eye appointment. Was seen by Fatima and as soon as I mentioned my concerns she immediately put them to rest she went the extra 10 miles and turned what I expected to be an uncomfortable experience in to quite a pleasant one. I have never felt this customer experience in my life and would like vision express to know she is an absolute credit to your business as are in fact every other member of staff I saw (didn?t get all their names) would recommend to anyone who has concerns or anxiety issues like myself that this is the place to go!

Having had one unsatisfactory visit a month previous, I then had to visit again to adjust my glasses. This time though was an entirely different experience and can't thank Jamie enough for the wonderful service and the job he has done on my glasses. I now have frames to fit and the style I originally paid for. Jamie was also very personable and kept me informed of progress.
