A lovely little cafe with a great menu. Tucked away down an alley between 2 shops, in a back garden, hence the name. Sadly, for me the only thing that let it down was that some items in my breakfast were cold. The poached eggs, the bacon, the toast. Now I appreciate that you need to cook things in advance, so perhaps a better system for keeping things hot is needed. Surely poached eggs and toast can be cooked to order. Fix that and it's 5 stars from me next time.

After doing the "Well Being" walk, set up by Charnwood Borough Council, we visit the Secret Garden Cafe. It's a small family business that has a good range of hot and cold food and drink at reasonable prices. There is a small patio area outside the restaurant with benches, tables, and parasols. In a grassed area, more seating and tables are available. There is even a marquee for when the weather changes. Why don't you give them a visit?

Always enjoy a visit to The Secret Garden Cafe, the name is certainly ideal, this hidden gem has such a wonderful atmosphere particularly during the festive season. Service is always efficient and the food and drink is top notch, I particularly like the Lotus biscuits which come with the coffee, such a great touch and the perfect accompaninent too.The owner Katie is lovely and someone who I am proud and indeed privleged to call a friend.Wishing all the best for this fabulous business and I can't wait to visit again soon!Dan Foster :-) xx

Had lunch here today and had a prawn salad (On the sandwich menu, says you can swop as a salad). Really good and priced well. Will definitely return.

Ordered coffee and food for two. Took over 40 minutes to serve coffee with people arriving after us being served first. We didn't complain but they realised the error and reduced the bill by the cost of a coffee. Am absolutely fine with that but did they really need to withhold the loyalty token for the coffee? I am meeting a good friend on 30th November for breakfast and have planned to eat here but we will now go elsewhere. I hope the withheld token is worth it.

Great breakfast just ashame about the bread. Vry cheap stuff. Some nice crusty bread would have scored it a 10 out of 10.

Food and drinks were nice but service can be very slow. One time it was almost an hour wait to get served drinks and toasties and some of the food was missing. Lovely setting and staff very pleasant.

A nice little village cafe. The coffee was good, but the availability of a larger mug size would be even better. I plan to try some food next visit, and will report back.

I happened across this cafe last minute, having attended a nearby parkrun.A brilliant find, accomodating owners to all my requests and great quality food served in a spotlessly clean and airy cafe. Can't recommend this enough ?

Pleasant, bright place. Menu promising. Shame then that my omelette was pale, thin & tasteless with wet, undercooked mushrooms.

First time eating here today, table of 4 (2 children) We were welcomed from the start, very polite ladies, food & drinks served very quickly, especially for a busy Saturday morning. Food was delicious, kids loved it. Will be returningKid-friendliness: Welcomed my 2 children, high chairs & free tap water in plastic cups were a nice touch.
