We had a lovely first visit to the white horse today. Me and my boyfriend both had food off of the specials menu and both dishes were divine! Beautiful setting, very attentive staff and lovely homely atmosphere. Definitely coming back soon.

Very nice lunch here. Pleasant old pub in a secluded, canal-side setting, with lakes and walks just a few minutes away. Good value food, quick and courteous service. Lots of dogs to admire. Hard to beat!

We bike along the canal all the time, we stop at this pub everytime before we bike back home. This pub is situated right on the canal, which also looks over Watermead Park. The staff are always very friendly, great choice of drinks and their food is amazing. Nice big beer garden with a kids play area. Would definitely recommend

A hidden gem, in old Birstall with views over Watermead from the large impressive beer garden. The pub offers a wide selection of drinks & food to suit all palettes and occasions. Look out for events such as the Duck Race in May and the Great Birstall bake off in September.
