Purchased shoes from Elliott Fields, Rugby Store for 4 year old grandson on Sat 27/1/24 - feet measured excellent service. Grandson loved them.Asked if wanted box at point of sale - declined.Took Grandson home to Mum, he tried on his shoes and was excited because they have dinosaurs on and flashing lights. Daughter was surprised they were 10G as last pair bought in September were same size.Grandson told Mum they were hurting his feet.I live in Hinckley and had my Grandson again on Monday 29/1/24, so visited Hinckley Store. Explained the issue to the lady who greeted me. A man came over and suggested we check feet measure. Confirmed 10G and suggested they may be hurting feet as new style (Grandson was wearing sketchers). I advised Grandson normally wears Clarks and has never had an issue before.Asked for exchange or refund. Told by same man ?yes, no problem if you have receipt and box?. Explained I have email receipt, but had declined box at point of sale as have no need for it. He stated could not resell without box. I challenged - he refused.Phoned CS while in shop at 13.42, who confirmed box not required for exchange / refund and offered to speak to the assistant. He declined to speak to her. She reaffirmed while on speaker phone. Assistant stated it was because they are a franchise. CS confirmed again that box not required.Assistant still refused. I left the store and phoned Rugby, who also confirmed that the box is not required. I spoke to the Manager, Hannah, who offered to call Hinckley Store for me. I thanked her and left my number for a call back.Hannah called me back at 14.12 and told me she had spoken to the Manager at Hinckley. She told Hannah that they had refused exchange / refund because the shoes had been worn - this is not correct on any level.Put simply, the store at Hinckley have lied.Hannah has offered an exchange / refund at Rugby Store, if and when I can get there with my Grandson. Whilst this is good service on her part, it is a 30 mile trip for me and it should have been resolved by Hinckley.

Extremely poor service.Bought some shoes and after wearing once they ripped my heels, leaving me in pain and bleeding. Was within 28days, they refused to return. The manager was obnoxious, rude and had no courtesy or manners. Terrible attitude!Under the consumer act 1995 I am going to pursue...

Excellent service, the best in the area. Great choice of styles in-store and offered to order if they didn?t have items in stock. I would highly recommend the Clarks shop Hinckley.

I took my little 5 year old into the store today to have her feet measured, i was greeted when I arrived and was asked to sit down while the lady went to get what she needed to measure her feet. She came back and got the wrong one to do it, she grabbed another one and then turned around and said do you have any socks but this is after already trying first time round. One how come you don?t supply throw away socks and two she?s fine and doesn?t have to wear a mask, whats the difference. Shame because i will now not use this store for clarks shoes.

I like Clarks' products but I would not recommend the Hinckley store to anyone. Two episodes made me decide to never return to this shop again. My daughter received a pair of Clarks' shoes as a gift which unfortunately did not fit.As they were bought in a different location, we followed the advice on the Clarks' website which stated we could change the size or get a refund in any of their branches as long as they have it in stock. As we live in Hinckley, this branch was the closest one.At the store, the lady (who seems to be the manager) was very unfriendly and refused to help us. We needed to ask question by question until she finally accepted the fact she needed to exchange or refund the shoes. She also told my wife of, saying that she should have gone to the original store of purchase because for her returning items where profit loss. I understand the frustration, however this kind o problem should be dealt with Clarks' administration instead of the customer. In the end, we managed to get a refund even knowing we went to the store to change the size instead of getting our money back.We promised Ito ourselves never returning to Clarks but my little daughter saw some sandals from outside the shop about 2 years later. I got to admit I was prepared for the worse but accepted to go inside because of her. Another disappointment, which I would say was minor in comparison to the first but would not let it out of my reservations. As my daughter did not have socks the simply said that she could not try any shoes on and walked away leaving us without no option other than leave. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the policy for hygienic reasons but the information could be better delivered. I asked if they had socks for sale they said: NO! and walked away. At this stage, I was sure I should never go back to this shop.
