Had fitted furniture from Hammonds. Both for the end of an extension we've just had built and under the existing stairs of the property. My wofe and I could not be happier with the price, quality and service. Will be using Hammonds Furniture again for the bedrooms, later in the year.

We ordered 2 installations from Hammonds costing just short of £9k. We always believed the company stood for the very highest standards of excellence and that the bespoke fitting would be of the finest quality. How wrong we were!We received many communications, and a contract, to remind us that the rooms should be free of everything. To comply, we removed all our belongings, however, this rendered other rooms unusable. They said the work would be completed in 2 days.On the day, the fitter arrived but some large and very necessary parts were missing and he would return in 3 weeks. We had to cancel our electrician who was on his way to assist with lights and sockets (PLEASE NOTE: all our sockets would have been covered up or inside cupboards. It?s your responsibility to sort this out)We informed Customers Service that being disabled and living in such disarray would be a great inconvenience and dangerous. We asked if they could speed it up - no chance! Customer Service ring ALL the time but actually do nothing. They promise to look into things and ring back but never do (this happened a lot).3 weeks later the 1st fit began. However, when it was finished it fell far below any suitable standard, especially given the cost. Everyone who saw it was shocked at the unfinished, shoddy appearance. Inside the tall glass display cupboards, some hinges had covers, others didn?t. ALL of the predrilled holes for shelves and additional hinges were left unfinished (showing pale holes in dark grey wood). The inside base had been badly cut, was gnarled, and again showed a completely different colour underneath. There were many marks and scratches. Hammonds started emailing and texting the following day asking for the final installment (10%) but the fitter was going to return with missing screw cups and a finishing strip above the centre. We contacted Customer Services to tell them that the job was not actually finished and that we had found faults. We were asked to send photos, which we did but no comment was ever made regarding this. For another 9 days, we could not put our things away until the fitter returned to attend to the remedial work.During this time and we were having to prepare the other room for the 2nd installation. As this involved taking apart and moving a medical bed to the lounge, I rang to ask for written assurance that the 2nd job would happen on the correct date and that all the parts were ready and available so it would not be a repeat of the 1st. Although we were told that they would do this, they never did.When the fitter came to finish the 1st job, he added the strip and screw cups. These were in a pale grey plastic and look completely out of place. We had to go and buy black screw cups to ?dampen down? the terrible cheap look. Not the finish we thought we were paying for.The 2nd job did begin on the allotted day but once again there is a problem. One of the mirrored wardrobe doors had lumps in the vinyl finish and it will now take 3 weeks for a replacement to come

Great service at the beginning, if you can put up with the usual sales pitch stuff and stand your ground. Installation went well too, just a few tweaks from the original drawings but overall we were happy. Then 6 years later all the gloss laminate started coming away from our wardrobe doors. I got it touch with Hammonds and they came out and replaced ALL the doors, not just affected ones. We were told this was a common fault. So 6 years later on (and 2 years out of warranty), the laminate is coming away again and this time Hammonds do not want to know. I have even emailed the CEO but emails have just been passed back to customer service. There is no way I would have paid the price we did for bedroom furniture that only has a lifespan of 6 years. Shame on you Hammonds, you knew there was a problem with this finish but you are not prepared to put it right.I would seriously save your money and go to IKEA next time. The quality is probably better and at a fraction of the cost. Would not use again or recommend.

Still waiting for an issue to be resolved 3 weeks on. We were fed lies to get the sale. An issue before fitting was rectified (even if in a patronising way) but an issue after fitting has not got anywhere. Seems once they have received the money they don?t care. Would not recommend or use again.

4 Useless staff in Nottingham. Appalling customer service and the product is very poor yet ludicrously over priced. Angela was horrendously imperious, gave us an appointment after harassing us when we simply wanted to gain an idea of style options. Mr Hammond needs to know what animals he has under his roof representing his family business.

Excellent, quality of furniture, great service from design to fitting, fitters are very skilled, polite and respectful of customers and their properties.

When you purchase fitted furniture you expect a certain level of professionalism and quality but with Hammonds it has been and still is a nightmare. We're still waiting on our order ever since May. Since then surveyor appointments were missed and not followed up on, people went on holidays which meant our order got stuck, weeks were spent on changing the order from delivery and installation to installation only up to getting a confirmation email that "our records show your room is now complete" even though we haven't received anything yet. Have been chasing for over a week now and yet again, no one knows what happened with our order. If you plan to invest into fitted furniture, don't go with Hammonds. Can't comment on the quality of their furniture (as we still don't have it)... but what should be an exciting home project got completely ruined throughout!

Designer came out gave price, we spoke next day and I made some alterations asked him to ring back with new cost (I was going to order) but never heard from him again??. Someone called a couple weeks later to see if I was happy with service and when I explained the situation she said she?d look into it??.. not heard a thing since?. That was 8 weeks ago, obviously don?t need a small £2k order!!!

We had a visit from a designer who was excellent, he produced a fantastic bedroom for my daughter at a reasonable price. Unfortunately three days later we had a domestic issue arise which meant we could no longer carry on with our purchase and sadly made the decision to cancel the order, that is where the customer service ends and the (generous) one star rating begins. Over the course of the week we have tried to contact Hammonds numerous times times by phone, text and email, to date, 30/7/21, we have still had no reply.

Today I thought I would take a look in Hammond?s furniture store in Hinckley and i was greeted by Denise and Karen who were very friendly and welcoming. I never felt pressured to buy anything. The products that were offered to us were lovely and i will certainly be going back. I would recommend a showroom visit. I would like to say a massive thank you for making us feel very welcome.Keep up the good work Denise and Karen

The bedroom furniture was damaged and left completed , the doors were Mal adjusted, chipped paintwork, wiring access blocked.Customer Service almost non exsistant rarely comes back to you although you are assigned a Personal Customer Services person.

For the price, the quality is appalling. Spend just a little more on hand built or go to Ikea. No customer service at all.Product brochures look great and the showroom we visited between lockdowns showed the quality to be OK. However, the people we dealt with while nice, were useless and the quality on delivery was sub standard and not as good as Ikea. For the price we are paying I expected something on a similar grade to Symphony kitchens in terms of the wardrobe carcass and finishing. The only person that seemed to listen was the more junior sales person we first dealt with, then her boss just barged in and took over and since then it's been a poor experience.The first survey which should have given us an end design, didn't go to plan and the chap who visited never returned a single call since.Someone came out from the actual company to do a pre fitting inspection and had to redo the survey. Though the end design had to change from what we'd been told we'd get, as that couldn't be done.Then, on the fitter arriving to start the first room, fitting bookshelves, before starting our fitted wardrobes. The panels were not cut to equal lengths and we had to ask him to take apart what he'd done and re-cut them. Edges and surfaces were not even and shelves were sticking out proud. He is a nice person to talk to and he did a great job of taking it apart again and re-finishing everything, but I can't believe he didn't notice the panels that didn't even measure up straight.To add to the frustration, the rear back panels of the bookshelves are drilled with holes for rear support brackets (like the sides panels) so you can adjust the shelf hight, but as a 'designed' fitted book shelf unit it looks terrible for display as you look at the shelves and see multiple holes drilled in the back.I'm just sorry we didn't cancel when things started to go wrong.I wish we'd either gone a bit more upmarket and spent a little more (not much more) or gone budget and fitted some Ikea units.Definitely won't be going back.Really not value for money at all.

The lady from Hammonds came over late than the original time booked. Didn?t call she was running late. She didn?t look professional at all. Before leaving she said I would get the quote the same day... didn?t happen ! Got a text to say it will be done tomorrow... didn?t happen - excuse sickness bug! Week later got an email with the planning and no prices !Actual company not professional as they didn?t even do a follow up call To find out if everything was ok.Update - took just around 1 1/2 weeks to give me a quote. When you go to the store the day how they will give you a quote on the same day.
