Me and my partner went in there on Saturday the 19th of August. I had bought some ibuprofen lysine, and we had to be ID?d. This would be no issue if the staff member who did this was not extremely patronising and smug. Luckily we both had our id?s on us. However it was completely unprofessional on his part. Though I cannot remember his name this staff members name began with an A, he had a black squiggly headband in his hair, he was Asian and he was standing next to the self checkout services. I don?t usually write negative reviews however I saw another review which was similar to our experience and began to think it must of been the same staff member.

I went in for some alcohol, I had my ID, but my partner didn't. After being a Bartender for 2+ years I understand the laws around refusing people alcohol. And I understand people are doing their job with asking for ID. However this isn't the issue, it was the general unprofessional manner it was carried out. The guy who refused us was so happy he managed to refuse service to us, and looked extremely smug. With us living only 5 minutes away I was fine to go and get the other ID and come back. After doing so they never actually checked the ID to see if my partner was over 18. they saw they had it in their hands but didnt check it to see if it was real, if their date of birth would make them 18+, if it has been tampered with. Seems like they just wanted to refuse service for the sake of it and didn't actually care. Then to have the original guy who denied us service beaming at us with a very patronizing smile as we walked out... I just think this whole situation was very unprofessional.

Do you Ever have eggs?? What a let down of wasted trips. Have started going else where since you are the only one who never have eggs. Sort your supplier relations out. This is plain stupid.

The Hinckley Tesco is by no means the largest Tesco, but it is incredibly well stocked all the time, probably something to do with having a large distribution hub on the outskirts of town.It does most of what you need on you r weekly shop, good alcohol selection, it?s too small to have clothes and some of the other things you get in the Tesco Extra?s but it?s still very good.They have a petrol station and do click and collect, I would recommend getting a Clubcard as you can make significant savings on lots of items.Good little supermarket.

Just popped in for some bits. I was served by the most miserable person anyone can imagine. Normally the staff here are great friendly and courteous, but not this time. I have been served by this person previously and they were miserable then, thought it was a one off, as we are allowed a bad day. But no, she's miserable all the time. No please, thank you or anything. My advice, get a new job, as customer service to those people who contribute to your wages, you know the ones......customers- goes a long way.
