Running a limited company and been with this bank from 4 years now and they wasn't able to give me access for online banking,, going to close my account permanently.. and i suggest anyone else to not use this bank

I encountered a rather unsatisfactory experience with the bank as I made three separate visits in an attempt to withdraw funds from my son's child trust fund. On each occasion, I was informed that they required evidence from either the school or a general practitioner to confirm his age and address. Regrettably, despite procuring the necessary letters, there were consistent issues raised by the bank. Surprisingly, they failed to communicate that a general practitioner's letter would not be accepted if the individual is over the age of 18, a fact that was not initially disclosed during my first visit. Consequently, not only did I bear the cost of obtaining the GP letter, but upon returning home, I obtained a college-related letter for my son, only to encounter yet another issue: it had to be dated within the past four months. Astonishingly, the bank neglected to inform me of this requirement during my SECOND visit. Subsequently, I had to make another trip back home and visit my son's college once again to acquire a fresh letter. The entire ordeal was utterly exasperating, as the bank staff consistently withheld crucial information, resulting in an absolute waste of my time and resources, spanning three consecutive days. It was an appalling experience, to say the least.

I have been using the HSBC branch at 160 Belgrave Road Leicester LE4 5AU for many years as a First Direct customer, and as a HSBC customer for three charity accounts. ?Over the years I have had great service every time I have been served by Yasin at the branch. Today I visited there to withdraw cash over the counter for the first time since the Covid lockdown. Yet again, I found him most helpful and attentive to my needs. I was really glad he was still there with his lovely smile and efficient manner! ?If there is an employee award for the best customer care representative I should really like to nominate Yasin to receive it as I have experienced consistent excellent service over many years!

I been there twice, both time disappointed with the customer service. Staff are friendly yes hence why the 2 star but service is terrible and lazy! They don?t want to do anything. First time I needed a letter from hsbc confirming that I have an account with them etc, they said they don?t do that in the branch however online customer service said just go to the branch and they will do it there and then. 2nd time I went was yesterday to open an account, the advisor said there is no one free to help you, please go to Hinckley road hsbc where I encountered the same problem. Lazy staff and lazy customer service. At the end I went to city centre hsbc and they helped me out straight away!!!!

This branch is my biggest regret. To just switch my account, that too an existing account. They bloody took it more a month. And it?s still not done. I think a staff name ?Janki Kakkad? should be thrown out of this. These are the kind of people, degrade the reputation of a company. They say nhs workers are priority, but my foot, it?s not here. Better banks are Barclays, TSB. Seriously leaving this hsbc and I plead others, leave this bank. It?s a waste of time and Money. They don?t know the meaning of ?Customer Care?
