Everything we ordered in the café they were out of. It was only 1:30pm. No staff, but at least the place was clean.

Went on Sunday 12/09/21 for morning coffee and cake. No scones and the cakes were really disappointing, there was about a third of a Victoria Sandwich, 2 chocolate fudge brownies, some chocolate orange slices that looked dry and not much else. The glass plates were all crumby so just had a coffee. We sat outside and none of the chairs had cushions on and the garden looked in dire need of some TLC The 2 girls that were working were really pleasant though. I can?t think why it has gone so downhill.

Went for lunch today having eaten there previously but not for a while. Extremely disappointed!!!!! We hade Quiche, new potatoes and salad and a sausage mash and peas The quiche base was that hard you couldn't cut it through with a knife, the potatoes were barely warm and the salad can only be described as a garnish. The sausages were not cooked enough, the mash turned out to be like warm chips! It really was of a very poor standard which came at a higher than average cost. Whats happened to the lovely meals you used to serve!!!!!

After having a walk around the garden centre I decided to treat myself and 2 year old daughter to lunch at the cafe, as expected we waited to be seated which was fine, I walked over to the counter where there was just 1 person in front of me, it went downhill from there... I waited in the queue for 10 mins, the first 5 mins no one served the person in front, they were walking back and fourth to the kitchen, turned their back making coffee and just kept saying they would be with them soon, this wouldn?t have been so bad if there weren?t at least 3 other staff members also just walking around. Finally after waiting for at least 10 mins I managed to get served( all while my 2 year old was patiently waiting at the table, in eye sight luckily). We then waited 30 mins for a toasted sandwich and a kids cheese sandwich, the people who ordered after me got their meal a good 15 mins before us. I understand new Covid measures are here and everything that goes with them, the thing is, even before covid tables should have been cleaned so what exactly was the reason for such poor service.

Despite being very busy we didn?t have to queue for very long. Made to feel very welcome, COVID rules were clearly explained and we were shown to an obviously well cleaned table. Service was quick food was good but the bread served with the soup was disappointingly quite dry. Overall very good would recommend.

Lovely garden centre, large car park, good check in for covid registration, the cafe is ok tables well spaced and cleaned, we had scones and jam with cream, our friends thought theirs were a little stale but they were changed no problem, a good choice of things to eat and drink, with a nice Xmas goods selection already. Worth a visit

Second visit here. Lovely Christmas display at the garden centre. Lots of lovely things for sale and we stopped for some food in the cafe. All good, social distancing was excellent.

Clearly, with the current lockdown conditions and social distancing requirements, Palmer has had to restrict access and close the cafe and concession facilities. However, they have created a safe and clearly signed environment to enable customers to utilise al other garden centre facilities. Congratulations on the obvious hard work and effort!

Always enjoy a trip to this particular garden centre, they have a good range of plants and a clothes outlets as do most garden centres these days. The restaurant is always clean and food reasonablely priced. Well worth a visit

visited the works at ullesthorpe garden centre today to get the kids story books that are on offer at 5 for £5 and ended up buying a couple of jigsaws too, it was a nice tidy shop, the assistant was friendly, asked if i needed any help and fetched a basket for me i will definitely be going there again
