I was served by a lovely woman with colourful hair at the paint mixing station. She was brilliant from the get go, I feel her way of communicating with people is authentic and doesn't feel forced at all.

I've been to the store today, and it's looking totally run down. The entrance door has been boarded up for weeks owing to a smashed glass in the door, so the outside fascias boarding above the entrance looks like a good storm would bring them crashing down on the people entering or exiting the store.Now, they have removed all the manned checkouts and have replaced them with all self-service payment system with such miserable, unhelpful lady watching over what everyone or doing.I think it's about time B&Q has a really good look at the Loughborough store as regards the building, staff, and now loss of cashier, or the store isn't self will be cashing out it's self and closing.

Don't use their kitchen installations. They only delivered part of my kitchen but then accused me of receiving it all. They made me pay £1800 for products and services that I never actually received and told me to prove it. An inspection at home and photos was not enough they said I may have concealed the items. Terrible customer service, especially from the manager, Sam, terrible quality and kitchen contractors. Had to take to trading standards. Thankfully an alternative kitchen fitter was able to help me and brought the kitchen up to standard but I lost a lot of money in the process.

I rarely do reviews but felt the need to inform of staff treatment.Worst customer service ever, brandishing customers as shoplifters yet claim to have cameras on. Staff just staring at situations n not being empathetic or helpful.About a week ago, visited the store 2 times on the same day. 1st purchase a tool I bought, wasn?t the right size, on 2nd purchase walked into store to get the right size tool btwn 7-8pm and was raining outside.A shoplifter had just walked out with stolen items. Security who wasn?t on the floor barely 10minutes that I went into the store comes directly to me & purports that I am a shoplifter.Was it just because of my looks and the only African in the store at that moment? They know better?.. it?s such a bitter feeling when it dawns on you, the pain of not choosing my color, the picture put out there that we always are 1st suspects on crime.Calling one of their floor staff n even waving to him to raise the attention, pretends not seen anything n not bothered by my gestures to him.I panic, used to see such on TV but now my turn. Had to approach the staff n claims he didn?t know I need help. 2 more staff come around me all of them were communicating on earpieces except security, meaning, they were aware of the situation n talking about it. Few confrontations here n there and stupidity they ask if I saw or was with some people around me and claim to have stopped other few on the same way. I was minding my own business in this store ! What are your cameras for? What procedures has the store put in place to handle such.No respect or dignity to customers. Just calling me on the sides and make respectful Enquiries while focusing on how u handle clients for repetitive business, no empathy on how racial biases feels. It ends up on a bad note one tells you, buy whatever you need and leave. Couldn?t talk much for being upset but regret why I had to purchase from the store. I will never forget this treat and never to visit again?? All the best for the picture painted on me, very good staff training that I can tell?.

took a clearly unused blade back and got refused refund by woman on power trip ! so i?m £40 down .. i spend a fair bit in there (£300 in the last week)but won?t be now .. enjoy your £40

I purchased two roses earlier this year. When they flowered, they were nothing like the image on the product card. I discussed the problem with a member of staff and they were completely wonderful and exchanged the roses for more suitable plants (which were in flower at the time, so no more disappointment when I get them planted on). Thank you so much for your kindness S, you were extremely kind and caring to a stressed out customer.

We visited the store looking for light bulbs, who knew shopping for bulbs could be so complicated, still a very nice lady helped us find the ones we needed ? excellent quality and service many thanks ?

Time to give B&Q a better rating as one of the UK's most improved big brands.The days of useless low quality stock and dead plants are in the past.There's a real sense of them playing the modern game Vs the internet. Good prices, good stock, wide range.(Only critique of the Loughborough store is someone should get out more often with a broom and sweep the glass thrown by idiots the night before at the far end of the car park. Lots of brooms inside, cheap! )
